Summary: mixed feelings
Review: 11-17-04 I have mixed feelings about Sylvia Browne and about her book "Prophecy".

Obviously she is not 100% accurate, which is said to be impossible. No psychic is 100% accurate and none are every psychic about themselves.

I'm giving her a 3 star rating because I feel that she could have done a better job with the book. There were so many things that I and many others feel she had left out. Also Sylvia Browne did get a college degree, so why can't she write her books with more structure to them?

It's not that I don't want to believe. Just like the next person I'm human and curiousity says that it's best to always keep an open mind about things. Sylvia's books can not be enjoyed unless they are read with an open mind.

If you're still skeptical about Sylvia I would highly sugest borrowing the book from your local library. Most any library is online these days so you can check your libraries catalog on any internet accessable computer and you can put the book on hold via internet as well. It's not a bad idea if you are looking for a way to save money. "Prophecy" has been out long enough that most public libraries would have them on the shelves by now.

In her book Sylvia mentioned AIDS/HIV being cured next year in 2005. That sounds like some good news. Only she also said that breast cancer would be a thing of the past by 2000. Not to mention that Sylvia Browne never predicted 9/11, Oklahoma city bombing, OJ Simpson, and Rodney King. WHY?

Why did Sylvia write in her book "Prophecy" for auto makers to spend the extra few bucks to put an emergency trunk release for all our cars??? I thought those emergency trunk releases are a federal mandated standard by now am I wrong? I once drove a 1990 Acura Integra that already had the trunk release. So does my 1993 Saturn and my 2002 Taurus. All this makes me question Sylvia Brownes authenticity. This is a new book published this year in 2004 and those trunk releases have been around at LEAST since 1990...

I would not recommend this book to those who think they would get disapointed because they will.

Summary: GENIUS
Review: I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. SOMEONE ONCE SAID TO ME "YOU KNOW WHAT YOU KNOW...AND IF IF YOU DON'T KNOW THAT YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING" TRUTH RESONATES. READ THE BOOK.

Summary: The truth about the future
Review: I have always loved Sylvia's books and this one is one of the best. She talks about all kinds of predictions and prophecies--from her own to other famous prophecies passed down through the ages. It is a perfect beach read!

Summary: Fast Read
Review: I read this entire book in 2 sittings. Even if these prophesies don't come true, the book itself was fascinating. I must say that when I first heard of Sylvia Browne several years ago, that I was put off by her, but after reading her books these last few years, I must say that love her dearly. This book was so interesting, that I couldn't put it down. In fact, I read most of it aloud to my brother (who lives with me), and he himself was fascinated by it, and he could care less about psychic predictions.

I love the fact that Sylvia included the work done by Edgar Cayce and other prophets of our time.

I recommend this book, not just for the fact that it includes prophesies for the curious, but mostly for the fact that it turned out to be a quite interesting read. Thanks once again my dear Sylvia Browne, you are loved.

Summary: What a future?
Review: I thought this book was well written. I enjoyed the first section very much, the discussion of religion made the differences and similarities very clear for me. I will say it took me quite a while to get through the section of Sylvia's predictions, the future might not be as sun shiny as we hope for, but I still can't wait to see how much of what she says does become reality. I say read this book with an open mind, anything could happen in the future, after all we all don't know what the future holds for us!

Summary: Not Sure about Sylvia...
Review: I've read a lot of these prophecies elsewhere, including on her website, so other readers might want to save the $15 and see if the prophecies that are available for free come true first.

Also, I used to watch Sylvia on TV and was amazed by her accuracy but I always wondered if her TV appearances weren't edited to make her look more accurate than she is. Then, I was given a chance to ask her three questions. Two questions could only be verified on the Other Side. One question could be verified in this reality. It was about who is my future husband and when am I going to meet him. She told me that his name is Jerry and told me that I was going to meet him in April of 2003. Well, I didn't meet anyone by the name of Jerry in all of 2003 or anyone with any variation of that name either. In 2004, going on into 2005, I am still looking for my Mister. I have lost my faith that his name is Jerry, so now I'm just looking for my Mister period, whatever his name is. Thank God I found out how wrong she could be at a fraction of her regular rate! The answer to this question either happens or it doesn't.

You guys can make what you want of my review. I hope that it helps you decide about whether or not you want to spend $15 of your cold, hard cash on a Sylvia Browne book of prophecies.

Summary: WHAT A WORK OF BRILLIANCE!
Review: I've read every book Sylvia Brown has written and this is certainly one of my favorites.

I find myself laughing from some of these reviews from some of these people who haven't read much of her work. The people who mock her intuition and try to place her in the same category as someone from dial-a-psychic. That is not who Sylvia Browne is!

Sylvia gives us the answers that we've been searching for our entire lives. How do we know when it's true. Just close your eyes and you will feel it.

Develop your own intuition - that's the only way you will ever know truth from lies, right from wrong -

This is perhaps my new favorite of all of her books!

Thank you so much Sylvia Browne!

Summary: Prophecy: What the future holds for you
Review: It is easy to do any predictions in generalities. It leaves an attitude of "might be" or "might not be". Also the science fiction of yesterday is reality today, so look back gather up past evidence and do a modern day prediction. Why research Edgar Cayce to make predictions if one had a link to the future as she claims? Cayce did the provoking for ideal thinking and I think she is cashing in on it.

Summary: I Use to Love Sylvia...
Review: It's true... I loved her book 'On the Otherside'...but, then I began thinking about all those major unsolved murder cases in this country. The Green River Killer who has killed 30 - 40 women and it took 20 years for hime to get caught. Or the Scott Peterson case, Or the murder of the little blond girl, etc...if she is a real psychic then why doesn't she or others make a quick phone call to the police and provide them with a vision.

I saw this show on how much psychics really help solve crimes and it's only about 10% of the time? That show convinced me that psychics just don't exits. The police said, if there were real psychics then we wouldn't need police. Good Point. Sylvia provides hope...and comfort.

I prefer to believe in quantum physics... that we have control over our own energy.
