Summary: money well spent, I think
Review: I just received my copy, and have read it cover to cover. Now, I haven't yet tried any of the techniques, as my guy is away on a business trip, but they certainly sound as if they'd work, and the instructions and drawings are clear and helpful. (...) I can't decide which to try first when my unsuspecting man returns home. ;)

Summary: Lots off good tips here
Review: If you are a bit shy about expressing your desires, this book will be liberating. We combined it with a book on sensual massage. Fun!

Summary: Sometimes, you need help...
Review: I just read this book cover to cover. It's like good erotica ("Playtime", "Delta of Venus", et al) that you can't get enough of. In addition to being totally sexy, it's also very informative! Anyone interested in sex should read this book!

Summary: Remedial Sex 101
Review: The author not only fails to provide any new and interesting information, but she also buys heavily into the dominant western belief about how a woman should look: shaved, made-up, and deodorized. Don't waste your money, buy a real book about sex by Susie Bright, Nancy Friday, or Annie Sprinkle.

Summary: The best sex how-to book I've ever read.
Review:

And I've read more than a few of them. I've been in a couple of long-term relationships, and I really didn't think I had much to learn until I picked this up in the bookstore. One look at the instructions and drawings for "Ode to Bryan" (a technique for manual stimulation described in the book) and I was sold.

Lou Paget has written a book that is refreshingly straightforward, respectful of monogamy and relationships, unabashedly sensual, and undeniably specific and USEFUL. At the same time, it's not gimmicky. The problem I have with most sex manuals is the space they waste on recipes for sexual side dishes, hors d'oeuvres you may serve up once in a while. Lou's book is pure entree--meat and potatoes that you, and your partner, will enjoy every night. In other words, most sex manuals are an issue of "Martha Stewart Living"; this is "The Joy of Cooking."

You may be doubtful about buying a book like this. Maybe, like me, you figure that if you are good enough at communicating with your partner, you don't need it. Well, I was wrong. The fact is that men are not necessarily good at explaining what they like--either because they are shy about it or because they have never experienced great loving. If you think about it, the reverse is also true. Haven't you ever had a lover who introduced you to something new--an incredible, wonderful surprise that you now can't live without?

Whether you are experienced or inexperienced, need help in the bedroom or think you know it all, this book is for you. It's like sitting down with your three best straight girlfriends and/or gay male friends and having a no-holds-barred information-sharing session about what makes men tick (and explode).

If you are open to making your sex life incredible, this will be the best $$$ you've ever spent. (Less than that, at a discount!) Take the plunge. The information you will gain is priceless.

Summary: Oh My Stars and Heavens!!
Review: I purchased this book, just before my husband I got married. (I wanted to try new things on our Honeymoon)
Oh BOY!! My husband loves ALL of the techniques Ms. Paget shows!
I found this excellent book to be very clear, blunt, and no nonsense instruction. Nothing was "sugar-coated"....it was all straight to the point. Another big plus was that this book was written with a lot of tact, no vulgarities, just plain, simple, instructions that were EASY to understand and duplicate!'

BRAVO Ms. Paget!

Summary: How to be a Great Lover
Review: Great book. It addresses the subjects in a mature, non-sensical and explicit manner. There are no generalities or vague descriptions here...they are specific and narrow providing the reader with exact instructions. I would recommend this book for anyone who is seriously interested in pleasing a man. It is not pornography but addresses the issues with tact. Well written and tastefully illustrated with line drawings. Thanks to each of you who have reviewed this book. Your reviews (even the negative comments) contributed to my final decision to purchase the book. My wife and I are thoroughly enjoying the results.

Summary: Blowing his mind may blow your budget
Review: I would buy this book again for two reasons: the chapter on oral sex and the tip about how to put a condom on your partner using the "Italian Method." There are several good things to say about this book. The chapters about oral sex and manual manipulation were explicit in their advice and instruction and I found the diagrams that accompanied them to very useful. The author also has little tips dispersed throughout the book that are displayed inside of gray shaded boxes and I enjoyed just flicking casually through the book and reading those. They contain fun advice that you may not have thought about before. There is also a good bibliography if your imagination is piqued and you would like to do some further reading. In addition to the bibliography, Paget gives a list of adult bookstore type websites that she and her staff have tested for quality products and discreet service. I have actually ordered from one of the websites and I was quite pleased with the service.

I do have a couple of complaints about the book that make it difficult for me to give it five stars. I did feel that the book was overpriced considering 90% of it is common sense. I really only found two chapters useful and a few tidbits of information strewn throughout. If price is an issue for you, perhaps you can check it out of the library or read it in the bookstore. That being said, I received such a wonderful response from my husband when I tried the handful of techniques that I learned, that I consider the money an investment in our relationship. Besides, we would spend the same amount on movie tickets and popcorn as I did on this book, but will continue to enjoy the benefits of the book for many happy years to come. (Pun unintended)

Summary: An entire book on this?
Review: In the tradition of computer software this book takes something that's simple to the point of being self-explanatory and makes it as complex as possible. (Perhaps Bill Gates had a hand in this).

Ladies, here's the thing. Men, for all our shortcomings, know what we like and will simply tell you, if you just ask. The time is always right; the mood is always right. Unless you have a broken fingernail I don't see how you can go wrong, with or without this book.

The only question that remains is, are you willing? --And if not, this book won't help much.
