Rating: Summary: Not the best Review: A vast improvement from her last noval, Remember When, however this book is not in the same league as Paradise, Perfect, Something Wonderful, Once and Again, Whitney My Love etc. All these were excellent. Night Whispers had too many characters and too little real romance. Also what happens to Jess and Sara? All in all, this book is average, borrow it from the library.
Rating: Summary: My first Judith McNaught Read Review: I received this book as a gift, and after reading the synopsis couldn't wait to get started. Once I did, I just couldn't stop. I had never read any of JM's work before, and now I am hooked. I read through the reviews listed for this book, and was a bit disappointed to see how many did not think this was up to JM's best. For someone who has never read any of her work before, this book will absolutely have you hooked. I've lent it to two other friends, and they feel the same way. I'm searching the reviews now to choose my next title.
Rating: Summary: Slightly dissapointed but still a good read Review: I must agree with the other reviews. This book is not as good as she usually writes. Her characters are nor as well developed as Zack and Julie in PERFECT and matt and Merrideth in PARADISE. She needed to her characters more. Even though it wasn't up to her usual standard it is still a good read.
Rating: Summary: It was okay but could have been better Review: Sloan was a really good character and I loved her and her role in the story. Noah Maitland has a few problems specifically the fact that his siter Courtney made a comment that sounded like he would go to prison if they caught him for somthing but he is innocent of all wrongdoing he doesn't make any sense. I loved Courtney best of all she is probaly the character closest to my age (I am 12)I loved this book it speaks for all books that for some reason are really good but you can't figure out why espescially books with characters as undeveloped as this. The resurfacing of Paul Richards (from Perfect) was a mistake in every sense of the word he of all the characters I have ever read is the most annoying.

Rating: Summary: A good read but alas not her best work Review: Judith McNaught is an author I always enjoy but I have to agree with so many others who reviewed this book that it was not up to her usual standard. She completed the book without truly letting the reader know what Noah's career involved. The biggest disappointment was to pull us into the relationship between Sara and Jess and then leave it undeveloped. Why............ It was also too difficult to believe that no one would have checked into Sloan's career before she showed up in Palm Springs. In spite of the disappointments, 'Night Whispers' is still worth reading. Judith McNaught at 80% is still far better than many romance writers.
Rating: Summary: Good but not up to standard Review: I was looking forward to JM's new book and when I finished it I was very disappointed. Her characters lacked dimension and I really didn't care much about them. I recommend you borrow it from a friend or library to save money. I hope that Water's Edge is an improvement, you can give me the old historical romances any day....
Rating: Summary: Poor, lacks depth. Saved by secondary characters. Review: This book was a huge dissapointment. After having read books from JM like "Perfect", "Once and Always", "A Kingodm of Dreams", and "Until You" I expected more character development. Noah Maitland had a cool first name but that was the only arresting quality this hero possessed. For a multi-millionaire, he seemed awfully bland. Why would Sloan fall for him? Compared to Zach, Royce, Matt, or even Cole from "Remember When", he was sadly one-dimensional. As for Sloan, did she forget she was a cop once she hit Palm Beach? Her profession was only briefly mentioned once she met her family, (which was ironic since her training as a police-person is what prompted Paul to recruit her). And what happened at the end? Did she give up her career to be a happy house-wife? I can't remember if her career was even addressed at that point. I enjoyed some things about this book. I loved the character of Sloan at the beginning of the book. She was lovable, bright, dedicated, a role model as the town's only female cop. I enjoyed her interactions with Sara and Jess. I LOVED the characters of Sara, Jess, Courtney, and the great-grandmother. I was MAJORLY disappointed that the story between Sara and Jess was resolved in such a wimpy manner. There was more chemistry in their one quick kiss than in all the love scenes between Sloan and Noah later on in the book. I sincerely hope that JM plans to write more about Sara and Jess someday. Here's hoping her next book is better than this.
Rating: Summary: Night Whispers.... Review: Judith McNaught has long been one of my favorite authors of romance, and I truly love her books. However, I must agree that the story does not seem to have had enough time to fully develop. Sloan's story is well-developed, however, Noah's history needs more exploration. Despite that, it was a wonderful wonderful read that I finished in one reading because I just could not put it down!
Rating: Summary: fantastic Review: I think this book is absolutely awesome.... i like it very much and i would say that judith is the best romance author.
