Summary: Interesting
Review: I enjoyed this book, and Judith McNaught is one of my favorite authors. My thoughts are that there could have been more indept relationship between Noah and Sloan. There was not enough fire and desire involved that is usually typical between couples as in other McNaught books. The other characters in this story are so enjoyable that the lack of more fire and desire make this good reading. McNaught has never disappointed me as a author, and even if this book is not up to books of hers in the past this is still a keeper for me. I am too devoted a fan to let one, not so hot book, keep me from eagerly anticipating the release of her next manuscript.

Review: I enjoyed this book but was unhappy to find that the author did not have any other mysteries to read. This book is perfect for a mystery reader that would like to see a little more relationship development than usual. If you are looking for the usual sappy romance you will be disappointed.I hope the author doesn't listen to all her romance readers and ONLY write for them!

Summary: Left a funny taste in my mouth...
Review: And I was rather dissapointed by Judith McNaught's latest offering. What happened to the author we used to know and love? The one who penned such classics as _Whitney, My Love_, _Almost Heaven_, _Until You_, and _Paradise_? The whole book seemed rushed and had a "hurry, hurry" attitude about it. It seemed as though they were all rushing to some fabulous climax, but everything falls flat with a big fat splat. Sloan and Noah's relationship never really left the ground, and I never saw more pass between them then some lust. There was no true love, and I was left wondering if Ms. McNaught had some past experience like this, and _Night Whispers_ is a bitter diatribe. But, reading this, you're probably wondering why I still gave the book four stars. I did that because it is still a decent book, and I found some aspects of it delightful. For one, the rest of the Maitland family is a hoot. Courtney with her own sense of style and Mr. Maitland and his attempts at flirting. Also, the secondary characters added spice to the plot and detracted from the somewhat bittersweet romance between Noah and Sloan. And, the only reason I have such critisism for _Night Whispers_ is that Ms. McNaught has penned such wonders in the past that I expect a tinsy bit more of her then of other authors. But, compared to some books that I can mention, _Night Whispers_ is by far the best. So, if you're looking for a romance that is higher then most and if you havn't read a McNaught before, you might try _Night Whispers_. But for devoted fans, I suggest you skip this read.

Summary: What was she thinking?
Review: I have read almost all of Judith McNaught's books (my favorites are Once and Always, Paradise, and Almost Heaven), and after reading Night Whispers I have to wonder what has happened to my favorite romance writer. I don't know if you'd even call this book a romance novel. The relationship between Noah and Sloan (as soon as I saw that name I had a bad feeling) was extremely under developed. This book seemed to concentrate more on discovering who the killer was than their relationship. Compared with her other books, the emotional quality of this one was very lacking. It was like, "Hey, let's go have meaningless sex even though we don't care about eachother!" I think that Judith McNaught should stay out of the romance/mystery genre and revert to her earlier style of writing. This book was disappointing to say the least, and I would not recommend it.

Summary: Bittersweet and Rather Rushed
Review: I picked up *Night Whispers* because I usually love her books, but this one left me with some questions on what she was thinking. When Sloan and Noah meet, I didn't see any real attraction between them, only lust. Also, Paul Richardson was annoying, and you wonder how he could make the same mistake twice (in *Perfect*, he also acused the hero of a crime and makes the heroine think the worst). And, all he says is, "Oops! I'm soory!". At least in *Night Whispers*, he didn't make the heroine gravel in front of the hero. But there are a lot of reasons why I gave this book four stars... 1. I don't think Judith McNaught can actually write a terrible book. 2. Courtney was great and really kept Noah grounded. 3. Sloan had a mind of her own most of the time and she was really three dimensional. 4. The side characters and plots were all well written and interesting. *Night Whispers* is really a good book, but it's not the best by Judith Mcnaught. If you want something better, try *Almost Heaven*, *Whitney, My Love*, and *Until You*

Summary: Nice but could have been better!
Review: Okay i own ALL of JM's books and i like all of them too except Remember when! This book was good but the romance was almost non-existent! The book was more of a suspense with a bit of romance and a lot of characters thrown in! I really liked the characters in this book esp Courtney... I really hope JM writes a story about her and makes her as unique and unlike her other heroines as possible. THe sara and jess storyline was cool too, i hope they get a book of their own 'cuz we dunno what happened with them. I know Jess is NOT and cannot be rich and powerful like all of JM's other heroes but he's still a cop and that still makes him 'HOT'! I hope u don't disappoint us JM and write books about these characters! :) KEEp Up the great work!

Summary: Would make a great movie!
Review: This is the first book I have read by Judith McNaught. And if this is not as good as her usual, than I am truly excited to read more! I found myself in complete suspense, practically to the end. Of course, I did not read any intro's to the book, therefore I was really in for a surprise! This read like an hour thriller-movie would play. Yes, the author leaves out a lot, ie: more details on Noah, and Paul and Paris. Even Sara and Jessup. But, I usually scim through excess details anyway. I chuckled a few times, held my breath during danger, and sighed with the mushy. A very, very fast and fun read! If you want all those extra details, do not read this book, you will be dissappointed. If you want a break from lengthy....it's a great filler upper!

Summary: She's lost me
Review: I thought Judith McNaught was a great romance wiriter. I still think she has the potential to be great. Perfect and Paradise are two of my favorite books of all time. These books made you care about the charachters and the pairings were spectacular. In comparison "Remember When" and "Night Whispers" feel like bad blind dates. Couples are only together to service the half-baked plot. No chemistry, no genuine emotion. Why bother? Unfortunatly her new relase looks like much of the same. I'll be skipping it.

Summary: Night Whispers - Thrilling!
Review: I fully agree with the reader from Landsdale. This was my firtst Judith McNaught book and I could not stop reading. I loved it. An excellent combination of a love story and a detective. I'll order some more books from her to see if I can agree with the other readers who are less satisfied with this book. A reader from Manhattan/NY

Summary: The Audio book was not bad - somewhat entertaining
Review: I listened to this story today in the car. It was not a bad story, although I would have liked to hear more about Noah and Sloan's romance. I will have to say that I liked this better than Whitney, My Love and Almost Heaven. I am considering reading the book now, to maybe catch some of the things that were taken out for audiobook. I hope I'm not disappointed, like I was with her other two books.
