Summary: PATRICK STEWARD "VOICE ACTED" THIS AUDIO TAPE!!!!
Review: After listening to many "readers" bore us to death, even with great material, it was a pleasure to listen to a true professional deliver the goods! We listened to this tape in the middle of August on a summer trip to Canada and were enchanted! Wonderfully well done!

Summary: A classic tale that lifts up one's spirit
Review: This is the classic tale by of Ebenezer Scrooge who receives a visit from the ghost of Marley, his late business partner, on Christmas Eve. Scrooge then travels to the past, present, and future with three ghosts. The Ghost of Christmas Future shows Schrooge what his funeral will be like and what the future holds if he doesn't mend his ways. This is a story that lifts up one's spirits, not only at Christmas time, but throughout the year. I recommend it highly to everyone. I usually reread it every Christmas. Several individuals have also pointed out that not only is this an early time-traveling story (perhaps the earliest), it is also probably the earliest story about alternative futures, later popular among science fiction writers as well as historians.

Summary: The book showed true family values.
Review: I liked Charles Dickens, The Christmas Carol, because it had lots of class. Dickens wrote about something and now you read it to your grandchildren on Christmas Eve. It's something that the whole family will enjoy. I know my family does.

Summary: A tremendously gifted reading of this holiday classic!
Review: Patrick Stewart brings Dickens' characters to life in a away that no others have. Surpassing even the most well received movies of the same name, where several actors play respective roles--Stewart manages to give each character his/her own voice, life, quirks and characteristics. Even more noteable is the fact that he does so with his voice alone; without the added benefit of seeing his facial expressions and body language--the story comes alive, still! These cassettes have become a Christmas tradition in our home. As soon as December rolls around, the tapes are toted into cars for long trips and listened to leisurely around the house; I can barely imagine the fullness of the holidays without them! "A Christmas Carol" has never been so real or so alive--it is sure to become a staple part of any home's Christmas celebrations--as much as "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life".

Summary: Nice up-beat version of the timeless classic
Review: There are 28 editions available on this webiste alone for the familiar"A CHRISTMAS CAROL". The one illustrated by Russ Flint, published by Ideals is the one I recommend. Unique, brightly designed layout is a nice change from the usual classical and somewhat gloomy approach. The huge yellow "BAH HUMBUG" is just right.

Summary: A Genuine Classic
Review: Filled with wit, humor, and grace, this is without a doubt the most famous and entertaining Christmas story ever. Dickens frightens us one minute, involves us the next, humors us the next but never bores us. If you liked the book try and find the movie version with George C. Scott as Scrooge. I think that's the best film.

Summary: I hate it!
Review: This book is by far one of the most boring books I have ever read. I do not recommend it to anyone. It was hard for me to keep up with whatever was going on.
