Summary: Still great -- but not the best
Review: This is very much a great addition to the Redwall series, but it is far below what I expected. The book is very "Busy" and i often had to go back a few pages to reread as so not to lose the story line. While it has a great story line, I still feel that this is my leat favorite of all the books written so far for the series

Summary: 14th book in the Redwall saga proves worthy
Review: A young otter is taken from his Redwall home by vermin and raised by them. He is named the Taggerung, a mythical vermin warrior. He decides to seek out his true identity and runs away to Redwall. The vermin camp follow him and try to kill him. Vermin betrayals, double-crosses, and tragedies follow in the Taggerung's wake as it all ocmes to a head at the famous red-walled home of all woodland creatures. Another must-read for Redwall fans as Brian brilliantly constructs another masterpiece.

Summary: the Taggerung
Review: The Taggerung was a truly excellent book, though compared to the other redwall books it was very unique. What sets the taggerung apart from other redwall books is how it seemed to deal with a lot of more mature issues that were never heard before in other redwall books. Some examples are an abusive mouse father and
sacrificial cerimonies. These examples though were what forged the taggerung to be such a great book.Brian Jacques has shown us through these examples of even the good at nature can be prone to these acts of evil. The appearances of old characters from the old
books was a treat to finally know what became of them. All in all the taggerung was an excellent book though I would have liked there to have been a large scale battle but instead Brian gave us several dramatic sequences that were appealing.I hope is next book will be as good as his last.

Summary: THE BEST REDWALL EVER!!!
Review: In Brian Jacques' 14 REDWALL novel , Taggerung , a new redwall hero is born , literally. The book opens in a Juska campground where we meet the first of many main bad-guys who goes by the name of Sawney Rath. Sawney is on a constant search , as are all Juska for a creature called the Taggerung. A Taggerung is said to bring good things to the Juska troup that it leads....
Meanwhile at Redwall a family of otters await the birth of their new son. When the baby is born (Deyna is his name) the father takes him to the river for his first swim....
When the two parties meet something is bound to happen...
Full of unexpected twists Taggerung is a must read for any Redwall fan and for those just discovering the world of Redwall!!!!!!

Summary: Brian Jacques-The Master of Adventure
Review: Whenever I tell people who are unaware of the great Redwall series, that they should read it, and how great it is-they laugh when i explain that rodents fight each other. However when i can persuade them to read one of the books, they will tell me usually just a couple of days after starting the book, that they want to read more of the series. This book does not let down the great reputation Mr. Jacques has as a storyteller. This story captivated me, and it will you too, as long as you give it a chance.

Summary: Awesome
Review: This was my favorite book in the entire Redwall series. I really suggest reading it for yourself. It has a suspensful plot throughout the novel, and there is constant action and mystery.

Summary: One of the Best of The Best
Review: This book is one of the best Redwall books that I have ever read. The book is filled with adventure, and the forces of good against evil. I appriciate Brian Jaques's unique talent, and his extrodinary sense of what us readers would like. All of the villians, from Sawney Rath to Antigra give life and spice to plot. While old Cregga Badgermum gives us reassurance that all will turn out ok. My friends and I have read and reread the Redwall books over and over again. We absolutely love these books. Before I go I would just like to give a shout-out to Brian Jaques, THANK YOU for writing these wonderful books.

Summary: Taggerung-Very good!
Review: After reading this book, I was pleasantly surprised. Sawney Rath is the stoat leader of the Juskarath clan. He recieves word from the vixen Seer, Grissoul, who explains her visions tell her the fabled warrior/leader Taggerung is in their midst and bears the mark of a speedwell flower on his paw. Antigra, a stoat female, proclaims her son is the Taggerung. Sawney shortly afterwards fights Antigra's mate Gruven, and kills him.
An otterbabe named Deyna is born in Redwall Abbey, and is the Taggerung. His older sister Mhera is destined to be the Abbeyess, but it isn't revealed until later in the book. Sawney and a small group of other Juskaraths kill Deyna's father and kidnap the otterbabe. This is a very moving, almost poetic book. The death of Cregga Rose Eyes brought tears to my eyes. My favorite characters are Mhera and Fwirl, an adventureous female squirrel. And by the way...check the end to the epilogue. Apparently, Fwirl and Broggle marry. ;)

Summary: The Epic of a once upon a time
Review: First off, i would like to note that i am a GREAT Redwall fan and that i used to do nothing but read the books, but now that i have finished with the series, i have calmed down. Now, with the summary. Taggerung, a fiersome story would have been one of the best of the Redwall tales. Many say it's puzzles were pathetic, now here's my say. the puzzles were almost impossible to have answered. either that or i stink at puzzles. Now, many say there is no really great villain, well here's my say. It is true all the villains aren't as permanent as others, but that's what makes this story unique. I mean, then you can't compare them, and then you can apreciate (hope that's not spelled wrong) their character, Like Vallug or Ethera, such skilled villains, and it makes them look good since there wasn't a main villain to be better than them (You get the idea). Now, the good guys. Tag was a special character, when you first see him you think he's evil, and then it unfolds how good he is. And when Tag defies Sawney, I almost feel the power of their hatred against each other. And Bungalo's past history almost made me cry (not like a sissy though.) So overall, this tale of diaster that replays itself again and again is a wonderful fantasy for you to enjoy, so there!

Summary: The best book from the very best author!
Review: Taggerung was a truly great story with much emotion. While it was sometimes serious and action-packed, most of the time there was fun (e.g. feasts and Boorab)and lots of songs, which i think all of which are genius. i agree that Madd is probably Fwirl's lost mother. This book truly lived up to Redwall standards and beyond. I won't give the plot away except to say it is a big departure from the norm and I absolutely loved Tagg and Nimbalo. Anyone who likes fantasy would love this latest installment in the miricle-worker Brian Jaques' enjoyable series.
