Rating: Summary: Spectacular! A wonderful culmination of events on Pern! Review: "All the Weyrs of Pern" is the climax and resolution of the Pern series. Emotions run high although SOME OTHER READERS feel that the book is about as personal as mud... I recommend beginning at "Dragonflight" or "Dragonsong" and you will understand it better. I really appreciate bringing all the parallel books into one end. Speaking of the end, get some tissue, would you?

Rating: Summary: I loved the addition of AIVAS to the storyline! Review: All the Weyrs of Pern is a great book for anybody who has read Dragonflight, Dragonquest, The White Dragon, and Dragonsdawn (all 4 have to be read or you won't understand much about it).Anyway, AIVAS was a great addition to the world of Pern, but I find the change in Lessa and F'lar a little saddening. I know people age, but it seems that their personalities have aged, also. Lessa appears far too engrossed with her Weyrwomanity for my likes, although she used to be one of my favorite characters. The book stars out with a slower tempo, but it picks it up as it goes along. As with all books, don't let the first chapter force you into putting the book down, but read at least half of it before you make your decision.
Rating: Summary: All the Weyrs of Pern was an interesting fast paced novel. Review: All the weyrs of Pern was the well thought out suprising science fiction novel I had been waiting for. It was a pleasure to read and impossible to put down. Although it is not a quick read it is not a long read either. However you have to pay attention the whole novel or else something could be slipped past you. These are only tips to help in reading this fast paced interesting novel.
Rating: Summary: Past and Future Review: An enjoyable book overall, the storyline finally brings the contemporary Pern we know and love in touch with it's past and how that discovery would change Pern forever. I found the pace a little too fast at times, and would have preferred a slower and more detailed focus on the disovery of Avias. And the big blooper in the story made me wince every time it came up. But as a whole the depth of issues and social analysis is comparable to the depth found in the Dragonquest. Some good action scenes for those who relish them.
Rating: Summary: The Best Series of books I have ever read! Review: Anne McCaffrey brings the world of Pern to vivid, fantastic life. Her characters are believable, interesting, and complete. I enjoy every new story I read. Only one of her Pern books was a little slow, First Fall, but once I got into it, it got going. If you love fantasy, this is the series to read!
