Summary: Ho hum.
Review: Okay, I've never been a big Boba Fett fan. But I read this because it was Star Wars, and it was a Star Wars book I hadn't read ten billion times. I think I could have liked an interesting book about a character I never cared that much about. But this...it made me feel like I had mono again. Even the chapter with Darth Vader (my favorite character) and Palpatine was very boring. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who looks for any kind of human element or connection in a book, because it just wasn't there.

Summary: Slow but good book
Review: This book was slow and boaring like a whole chaper of Darth Vader and Emporor Palpatine talking like 30 pages very boaring. But in the end when you finnally got into the battling and Dengar going into town and those guys following him that was good, but it seemed to end abruptly. And too much talk about discribing things like almsot a whole page discribing something. Don't waste the time reading the beggining just start from like the middle of the book.

Summary: two stars is way too many now that i think of it
Review: "The Mandalorian Armor" lacked any kind of plot or suspense and is an all around bad book. K.W Jeter left me no reason to keep on reading. Bobba Fett talked way too much, considering Fett only has one line in the entire Star Wars movie trilogy, but appears. It has lots errors. Like it says the Slave 1 is a high speed ship, and yet in the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessles it says that the Slave 1 is about as fast as a Y-wing. I would reccomend that no one buy this book.

Summary: Chapter 10 is a great chapter
Review: I like this book and chapter 10 make it worth it. When Vader and the Emperor are discuss boba fett and how he earn the right to wear the Mandalorian Armor that was great. Plus when the Emperor say that he and Vadar know about the secret of the Mandalorian make me wonder about there role in the second star war moive.

Summary: Unnecessary book and trilogy ...
Review: The premise of this book and the trilogy it begins is that a few of galaxy's most powerful men (including Emperor Palpatine, the head of Kuat Drive Yards and Prince Xizor) conspire to manipulate Boba Fett and the Bounty Hunter's Guild to their own strategic advantage in the struggle to dominate the known galaxy. Does this sound like a silly, unlikely plot? It is. I would compare it to some of Kevin J Anderson's creations. Ugh. In addition to the highly unlikely plot, the characters' portrayals are not true to form. Bossk should already be dead according to a previous book (whoops!) and Boba Fett, who in the movies and other novels is merely a competent, gritty (but sometimes bumbling) bounty hunter, is transformed into a man of unparalleled fighting ability with a Jedi's insight, Rasputin's constitution and an intellect which surpasses even that of Grand Admiral Thrawn! No wonder he manages to do the impossible over and over again. I found this extremely tedious along with the fact that he talks far too much. Part of Fett's charm has always been his being a man of few words, Since when did he become an incessant jabberer? Writing about more believable characters in more 'realistic' situations would have been a more enjoyable read but would have taken greater creativity and forethought than went into this series. Even the space combat is incorrectly described with details like the origin and capabilities of Fett's ship either completely wrong or grossly exaggerated. The sad thing is that KW Jeter has a more than competent writing ability, he just tends to overdo everything. Everyone seems to have an unrealistic scheme or two up their sleeves and these are all explained in nauseating detail. I think this might have been a decent story if it was scaled back to one book (instead of a trilogy) and the author took the Star Wars continuity a little more seriously and himself less so.

Summary: Not a very good book
Review: I gave this book "Two Stars" because I have reserved "One Star" for the even worse "Slave Ship" (and "Splinter of the Mind's Eye", should I ever review that)
There are some interesting parts in the book. I liked the spider being and the parts with Dengar, but on the whole, I found myself saying every few pages, "Has this author ever read any of the other books? Doesn't he know that.... (fill in what ever inconsistency I had just read)?" The plot was lame, the characters better suited for a comic book, and the inconsistencies with the rest of the SWU just too much to overlook. Read this book only if you are determined to read EVERY Star Wars book (and if you managed to read Dark Saber and Crystal Star, you'll make it thru this one)

Summary: Good.................because of Boba Fett
Review: I liked the book, but mainly because of Boba Fett. I did not like it when they did the "Now",and "then".But I dont mind too much. I was really hoping that Boba Fett would be more of the main charecter,'cause I like to hear what he's thinking or plotting. I would recamend this to any Boba Fett fan.

Summary: COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Review: THE MANDALORIAN ARMOR is K.W.Jeter's (weak)attempt at writing a star wars novel.The main problem i had with this book are its annoying continuity problems.Zuckuss as Bossk's partner?Given,both were seen as a team in SHADOWS OF THE EMPIRE(the comic)but with 4-LOM also.Fett also says to Bossk,"I was hunting before you were spawned".This can't be right!In THE ESSESIAL GUIDE TO CHARACTORS,it says Bossk is 58yrs.old!In TALES OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS,it states Bossk has HUNTED(!)for over 60yrs.!Judging by either,Fett would be very old at the end of TALES.Also, the use of the word "barve" is highly overused.The only reason i gave it a 2 was because it was about Fett! '

Summary: It was great but some of it didn't make sense
Review: I really liked the Mandalorian Armor, but some of it didn't make sense. For instance, it said when Bossk was standing on the deck of the Executor next to his partner Zuckuss, he couldn't resist the temptation to go right over and rip Boba Fett's throat out. First off, by that time they weren't partners by that time, and 4-LOM was Zuckuss' partner by then. Second, 4-LOM was standing between them. But otherwise I thought the book was great.

Summary: All in all, one of the worst Star Wars books written.
Review: In my opinion, this is one of the worst Star Wars books I've ever read(and I've read quite a few). There doesn't seem to be anything in this book that captures my interest. If you're looking to start reading a new Star Wars series, I'd advise you stay far away from the Bounty Hunter wars. If you haven't heard of the author of this book I'm not surprised, he stinks!
