Summary: IN THE MOOD FOR SOUL SEARCHING?
Review: SIMPLE. CLEAR. PRECISE

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A spiritual view of the human life cycle
Review: This book blends Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity into a poignant, comforting embrace for the soul. It is not a novel for the literal reader or the action-seeker. Also, the reader must not be fooled by its simplistic narrative style. It is rich in symbolic import and philosophical vision. I am particularly fond of the novel's philosophy of time--that it does not exist; and if time does not exist, death is an illusion as well. And while the book's major thought is that no teacher, no doctrine, no religion can afford you wisdom, it pays reverent homage to the valuable mentors in life that help us find our way. No matter how many times I read this novel, I always leave it with a sense of peace and humility.

Summary: A true soul searcher
Review: Siddhartha is a book that has to read with an open mind. One cannot just read, but the issues and the meanings have to be pondered and thought through and then the book will truly impact you like no other. The spiritual quest of Siddhartha may bring up conflicts in your life that have been put aside, but have to be dealt with. Reading the book will be an enjoyable experience for any soul searcher.

Summary: In One Word: Incredible
Review: I read this book in one evening and have to say that I have rarely enjoyed 125 pages so much! Though the novel may sometimes be rather weighty and even repetitive, the ideas expressed are original and ever thought provoking. The rhythmic sentences, the local flavor and the challenges the book offers to interpreters all make it an ideal read, (not to mention its brevity!)Its conclusion descrbing the unity of the universe and nirvana is fantastic. I highly recommend this book to any introspective reader.

Summary: Interesting from the start
Review: I do not usually enjoy a book that is assigned to me. I thought that Siddhartha was going to boring, but from the first couple paragraphs I enjoyed how the writer describes siddhartha's life. The story line is very interesting, even if you do not enjoy to read about buddhism. This is a very spiritual and compeling novel and I enjoyed it greatly.
