Summary: Excellent material.
Review: Hesse's greatest work truly is a modern classic. One can get lost in all the spiritualism and also flounder in the philosophicalness of this work. It is a must read for anyone.

Review: I fully reccommend this book. Even if you haven't read a book in years this one is perfect, 140 pages and easy to get through. This book made me realize on several things, one wisdom cannot be taught only through your personal discovery of your self can you attain wisdom.

Summary: Imagine the Bible written by Hemingway
Review: Hermann Hesse relays a beautiful parable. The Rosner translation is the only one to read as it is so clean and simple. If you don't know about Buddhism or if you practice it this novel stands alone or in context.

Summary: A true spiritual guide
Review: Few books offer as much simple wisdom as Siddhartha. The language is smooth and flowing. I could not help but finish the book in the first reading. It offers a philosophy that has been put by the way side in our technological age. A true masterpiece!
