Summary: Wonderful novel!
Review: The suspense kept me so interested that I read this book in one setting. The characters were very real, and the romance was touching. The message of God is not heavy handed, so I think people who do not usually enjoy religious fiction could read and enjoy this novel. It is a great novel for anyone who enjoys romantic suspense. This book made me a Dee Henderson fan!

Summary: Excellent Romantic Suspense!
Review: I read this book in spite of the fact that it is an inspirational romance and was not disappointed. Dee Henderson has created a griping tale of suspense with richly developed characters. The religious element was an integral part of each character and wasn't intrusive except for a few passages where scripture was quoted. However, any small annoyance w/ the religious message is by far outweighed by the high quality of Ms. Henderson's writing and her ability to create such a powerful story full of non-stop suspense and romance. Once you start reading this book, you won't want to put it down until you've finished. I'm looking forward to reading Dave's story in "The Negotiator".

Summary: Extremely entertaining Inspirational novel...
Review: I have been reading more and more Inspirational fiction novels lately, both for the message and the entertainment. This book was probably the best inspirational novel I've read to date. It told the story of Christians living out their lives, albeit a dangerous life at that. It wasn't an overly preachy novel, but it taught a message. I am really looking forward to reading The Negotiator next month!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Truly one of the best inspirational romances I've read
Review: Dee Henderson has pulled off another masterpiece. Her suspense is expertly handled, without being over the top, and the love-story is convincing and real despite the "unreal" situation. It's so refreshing to read an inspirational romance about two really mature, likeable characters. Keep them coming, Ms. Henderson!

Summary: Great Suspense Story
Review: I loved the suspense of the story. I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait until Dave's story comes out in March 2000.

Summary: Perfect Love casts away fear, doesn't it? Not is this case.
Review: Sara is afraid, and with good reason. This fear is very real and it has cost her love. Dee Henderson does a great job of letting us see and feel Sara's fear, and how she and those she loves learn to give those fears to God. Excellent writing and characters, can't wait for March 2000!

Summary: Gripping Romantic Suspense!
Review: Superbly crafted, skillfully written, DANGER IN THE SHADOWS is romantic suspense at its very best. I admit to sometimes being hesitant in reading an "inspirational" romance as I am afraid I am going to be preached to. Not so with this book. Believing in God was a part of the hero and heroine's everyday lives but it definitely didn't overpower the story or even throw the reader out of the story. It was simply deftly woven in and in an unobtrusive way. I can't wait for Dave's story!

Review: Welcome to Danger in the Shadows...

Sara's terrified. She's falling in love. And if that's not bad enough, it's with former pro football player Adam Black, a man everyone knows. That fact could cost Sara her life.

Sara Walsh was kidnapped when she was six, along with her twin sister Kim. Her sister died while held in captivity. It would be a twenty-five year old fact in Sara's past, except that one of the two kidnappers was never caught...and is still stalking her.

Sara has been invisible, hidden away in a witness protection program. Her only safety is in staying invisible, but Adam won't listen, or give up on what they can have together. Soon they're both caught in a chain of events that brings Sara face to face with terror - and with the sure knowledge that only God can save her and set her free from the Danger in the Shadows.

Dave from Danger in the Shadows comes back to play the leading man in his own inspirational romantic suspense - watch for THE PEACEMAKER coming in the spring of 2000, ISBN 1-57673-608-3, the first book in the O'Malley family series.

Summary: A great, suspenseful read
Review: Like my Houston friend, I read the Negotiator (Book I, O'Malley series) first. When I found out that "Dave" originated in this precursive "romance" novel, I just had to find out more about him and his background. I was not disappointed.

I was surprised that this was classified as a romance novel because a Harlequin fan I'm not. This was a classic suspense novel with gut-twisting turns and dark secrets. Though I guessed how the story would end, Ms Henderson wrote it so well that it still left me wanting more at the end.

I found it interesting that Sara, the female lead, was somewhat lacking in her faith and perhaps had been praying and expecting the wrong answer since her mysterious and clouded childhood. And yet, her love interest had to be a believer or she would not consider him a 'match'.

A sombre touch, but happy endings all around and a good introduction to the O'Malley clan you'll meet in Ms Henderson's O'Malley series - not to be missed!

Summary: Sorry- but I was disappointed
Review: I just felt like the characters, especially the leading lady, were so canned. It felt like the author was trying to impress us with the "perfect lady". Well, I would have liked more realistic characters. I'd also have liked the author to write more about how the characters practiced succesfully and unsuccesfully, their faith in every situation. Sorry- this book didn't do it for me.
