Summary: Awesome Book!
Review: Danger In The Shadows is a really awesome book! I couldn't put it down. I am not a big reader but when I picked this book up to look at it I had to take it home with me! This book will keep you thinking about it day & night and you can almost feel yourself in Sara's shoes.

You should really get this book. I am really interested in reading any of Dee Henderson's books and can't wait to get another one!

Summary: Danger in the shadows
Review: The book was recommended to me and I read the book in 1 night. I enjoyed Sara and Adam story unfold and It had me thinking about how better to protect children so they don't become victims of kidnappers or be expose to this dangers.
Once I read this book I enjoyed so much that I went back and read the whole O'Malley series. Enjoyed everybook would read 1 book a day becasue I could not put the book down. would recommend this book to everybody.

Summary: Suspense.....WHERE?
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. From the back cover it sounded fantastic! The suspense did not begin until page 228!!! And even then - it wasn't very suspenseful. When you finally find out who the stalker is, it seems very anti-climactic. It basically just states this is who it is and then continues. We don't know anything about the stalker or why he did what he did...it seemed very unimportant. Also, as far as the romance goes - I don't need hot steamy[]scenes at all, but there at least has to be chemistry - a spark. There doesn't need to be sex to get that point across. However this book made the couple almost seem more like brother & sister. There wasn't much of an attraction at all. I wound up skimming past paragraphs of this book just to be done with it. Very boring, slow and uninteresting. Too bad.

Summary: Different from what I expected...
Review: Sara has spent the last twenty five years of her life in fear of the man that kidnapped her and her twin sister, Kim, when they were six years old. Over the years she has changed her name countless times as well as her home for one of the kidnappers was never caught. She can never forge lasting friendships for the fear that she will put anyone else in danger. Then one night she meets Adam Black, a once famous football player and now a huge voice in the sports world.

Adam has never met anyone like Sara. When he finds out what her life is really like, all he wants to do is protect her. As time goes on and he realizes that they will never have a normal life, he turns to God for answers. What he finds in his heart is that he will do anything to stay apart of Sara's life.

The suspense in this book was very good and I really like the character of Dave. I have read books where there are references to God, but this was almost too much for me. There was zero sexual tension between the two characters, which I like reading in a romantic suspense. Their love was almost too pure if that's possible. Overall, I did enjoy it.

Summary: Danger in Broad Daylight
Review: I read this book in a single sitting one afternoon. It's an intense adventure of romance and intrigue. It's well written with absorbing characters. Henderson really draws you into the lives of the characters and makes you care about the outcome.

Summary: Danger In The Shadows by Dee Henderson
Review: This is the best book I have EVER read. (I read A LOT of books if that's helpful.) It's refresing that this book has no profanity. Dee Henderson has won first place on my favorite authors list.

Summary: Totally unrealistic romance
Review: I was looking for Christian novels, and after reading some by Gansky, Alcorn and other top-notch writers, I came across the rave reviews for this book.

The bad: It was very low-brow. I feel it would appeal most to a young teenage girl. The characters were completely unbelievable, and the plot was beyond unbelievable.

The good: Why did I give it 3 stars? People who read romances would no doubt enjoy this book. The pace is fast and there is a great deal of suspense. It has a happy ending, which is a plus. It also apparently is like a prequel to the O'Malley series, which begins with the story of the brother introduced in this book. (I haven't read any of the O'Malley series, but it is evidently popular with the same people who liked this book.)

I don't like to write negative things in a review. My intent is not to discourage anyone who likes romances and extremely easy reading suspense stories from a 100% feminine point of view. I only want to mention that for someone looking for a serious Christian novel, and who is used to more sophistication than you'll find here, this book would be a disappointment.

Summary: Will fear always lurk behind every corner?
Review: As children Sara and her twin sister were kidnapped and held hostage for 9 days, Sara made it; Kim didn't. Dave was there and watched his kid sisters as they were grabbed from the suburban park and was unable to help. Now Dave is able to help take care of his sister as the FBI agent in charge of her care.

Sara knows the floor plan to every building she enters. There can never be any spontaneity in her life. Her life is as safe as it can be with a crazed lunatic on the loose who would like nothing more than to finish the job he began 25 years ago when her sister died. She certainly can't handle the security risk of dating the ever popular Adam Black and she tells him that time and again.

Suddenly Sara's stalker is back to his old games. Taunting her and her family with packages filled with creepy mementos from the past. Sara is forced to go into hiding and has to lay low in hopes of bringing the creep out.

This is the first Dee Henderson book that I've ever read. It kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't wait to solve the mystery. As soon as I finished the book I rushed out and bought "The Negotiator" which continues the story through her brother Dave and Kate O'Malley as the O'Malley series gets rolling.

I hope that you are able to enjoy this novel as much as I have!

Summary: This doesn't have any thrill of mystery for me at all.. blah
Review: I read this book on the recommendation of a Dee Henderson fan. I was looking for a replacement for my favorite writers: Sue Grafton, Lilian Jackson Braun,Rita Mae Brown and Dorothy Gilman. I was hoping this would be a good author to get into. But I just couldnt get excited about this book. It was dull, boring, cardboard, mechanical.. awful! I kept picking this book up reading a chapter or two & putting it back down because the intrigue just isn't here. I finally gave up on this book last night..half way through. It just doesnt happen in this book and I can not understand how anyone can say this is good fiction!
I am not a romance fiction reader. I love mysteries.
The intrigue that other reviewers keep talking about..just isnt here. This book & this author fall short! I guess I will just have to stick with my secular mystery writers until I find a Christian writer with more talent than this writer has shown.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: no challenge, extremely boring
Review: Unbeleivable story line, shallow characters, altogether boring. Third person unless the characters are praying. I was expecting a mystery or perhaps a romance, this book hinted at both but really contained neither. Only finished it as a friend wanted to include it in a book discussion - came to find out she never finished it either...
