The lesson here is that you have to be true to yourself, and not pretend to be someone that you are not.The Foolish Lion - Budhu Raj the lion is King of the forest. Sadly for him, he is not very smart. After many of their friends have been killed by him, the other animals decide on a way of ensuring that no more deaths occur. The clever hare Chatura comes up with a better plan to defeat the lion king forever. Remember, always think before you act and never let your pride get in the way of making a good decision. Two full colour soft bound (8 x 7 ) 24-page books, one 48-minute audio tape, lyrics to the songs, and a special learning insert. These are audio read-along books for children based on the ancient South Asian Panchatantra and Jataka stories, precursors to Aesop's fables. The narration by renowned South Asian actors in English is highly entertaining. The books are illustrated with cuddly characters in vibrant colors. Children can sing along with the jungle music. Several songs are presented in a world music format, concluding with a key take home message. Produced by Sky Music (India), a corporation led by educators and musicians trained in special education and world music.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Nice stories, excellent presentation Review: The stories from South Asia, are very interesting and at the same time hold a lesson for young ones (and adults too!). What is most delightful is the "book and tape" presentation and I must say that the audio soundtrack is really outstanding. I have a 4 yr old and 7 yr old, both equally enthralled by these 2 stories.

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Fascinating tales for toddlers Review: The two stories are presumably meant for older children, but the tapes and pictures in the books have kept my two and half year old twins riveted for hours on end. The happy combination of pictures, story, song and sound effects make for excellent entertainment. If you're looking for something to divert your toddlers from the TV, this is it. The quality of the printing and the binding needs some improvement, to withstand constant handling of little hands!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A rich soundscape with good visuals Review: What is really outstanding about the Karadi Tales is the rich soundscape that is weaved into the storytelling. It is truly a world story which is different from the mass marketed material commonly available
