Rating: Summary: Perfectly fits - my style Review: I think one of the keys to liking or disliking a book on sales is whether or not it fits your personality. I don't think you can stray too far from your core. That said, Ralph R. Roberts and I appear to be kindred spirits and I laughed, loved and learned while reading his book. If you want to be bold, innovative and fun, and have that help you in your sales career, this book is great. If you're looking for something regimented (especially for real estate) read Danielle Kennedy, who also has some great books that I've learned from. But she doesn't fit my style. Bottom line, after reading Ralph's book and implementing some of the lessons my RE career has started quickly and I've become known as the "go to" man in my farm. Thanks Ralph!
Rating: Summary: Not what I was expecting. . . Review: I think someone else wrote the title. It doesn't fit the book, to begin with. Then there are these reviews. Half seem to be written by someone on the payroll. What positive sales information I managed to extract from this book (as minimal as it is) could have been written in a 5 page summary. For anyone that is new to sales and involved solely in real estate sales, then I could see them getting something to add to their arsenal of tricks. I am in automotive sales, however, and though the title suggests that I could find nuggets and be able to sell "anything" I am disappointeed in what I read. A better book (for automotive sales) is "Cars and People; How to Put the Two Together" or (for a good sales foundation) any EARLY Zig Ziglar book will do.
Rating: Summary: A must read for everyone, even those who are not in sales! Review: I truly enjoyed this book! As a Vice President for a small firm in the Detroit area, this book has enlighted me to tell everyone one I know about this book. In fact, I have refered all of my college professors about it and suggested that they use it in their class rooms. Its REAL and it WORKS!!
Rating: Summary: Buy this book to learn what you COULD accomplish. Review: My friend Ralph is a genuine innovator and a giant in professional sales. He thinks bigger than anyone I ever met. Give him an idea he likes, and he will multiply it while extending the range of that idea. "Walk Like a Giant, Sell Like a Madman" is as good a demonstration as I have ever read on how anyone has pushed back the bounderies on his life and his industry, making more things possible than ever before. He is unstoppable, and in this book he shows you how to enlarge your own possibilities. If you were to only buy one more book on sales, buy this one.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining, Insightful & Fun! Review: No new information here. Presented in a manner that is very dull and uninteresting. Save your money! There are many options that are much better.
Rating: Summary: Save your money there are many, many better options. Review: No new information here. Presented in a manner that is very dull and uninteresting. Save your money! There are many options that are much better.
Rating: Summary: Excellent real life content that everyone can practice Review: One of my favorite CANI books of all time. Simple, easy to read, and above all very believable. Anyone can benefit from the experience that Ralph has been through. Rookie to a seasoned pro, this book is an example of how one can improve themselves in business and in life with very small increments from Ralph and his experiences. I wish him well and I look forward to his next book! Thank you Jay McHugh
Rating: Summary: Very Informational, Good Rules to Live By Review: Ralph Roberts is a very good author, and he knows what he's talking about. The book is about how to reach dreams, even when your going through hard times. If you are any kind of sales person or want to go into sales this is a very good book to read.
Rating: Summary: A superstar salesman reveals his secrets! Review: Superstar salesman Ralph Roberts (dubbed by Time Magazine thenumber oneRealtor in America) and I wrote this book because we want to help ALL salespeople achieve the same success that Ralph has. Why another book on sales? Because business has changed in the '90s and selling has changed with it. In a world of downsized, out-sourced, and otherwise left-on-their-own workers, we're all going to be salespeople in the decades ahead. Whether we sell cars, homes, computer services, information technology, or, like Ralph, homes, all of us need a guide-book to help us organize our efforts. Our book does this. In simple, step-by-step fashion, Ralph and I lay out the methods that Ralph has used to make him the most productive seller of homes in the nation. Whether it's using systems, technology, assistants, personal promotion, or other methods, Ralph's way is the single best guide to success in a sales career that you'll find on the market today.
Rating: Summary: A Great Investment For any Real Estate Professional Review: The "how to" book for Mega Selling. There are enough proven ideas to keep anyone involve with marketing busy applying them to their business. An easy read, with great stories and no nonsense approach to networking and marketing. I can only hope Real Estate people in my market don't read this! I want to keep it a secret for myself.
