Summary: Left me pleased
Review: I read this book a while ago, but from my memory I know that this book was very entertaining, though not a piece of literary art. I found myself reading very late because of the thrills. I loved the use of Catalina as the setting! I love the place, and I think the author recreated the feeling that one gets when staying at the island.

Summary: Very entertaining
Review: I really enjoyed this book as much as i did "Dead in The Water", except that at the end of it you assume that in "Swimming to Catalina" it will address what ever happened to Allison Manning. I am very upset that now i will never know what came to be of Allison. Maybe some of you felt the same way or read between the lines. If you figured out what happened to Allison please share!!

Summary: Stone is THE MAN!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. It was very easy to read - time flew! I still miss some of Stuart Woods' earlier work. But this one was well worth reading!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Awful - don't waste your time
Review: I remember reading a Stuart Woods book a long time ago & liking it. I received this one as a gift & thought it would be a fine beach read. It was horrible from page one. Typical of a once decent writer now writing fast & furious to cash in on the mass paperback trade. The main character was so unbelievable - is he a superman or what? This guy can do it all without a scratch or bruise. LOTS of unnecessary sex and contrived wit that was not funny at all. PLEASE do yourselves a favor & read a classic mystery instead. Unfortunately I couldn't rate this lower than 1 star.

Summary: Fast, fun read
Review: I thought this was a fast, fun read. The only downside I could find is that there really wasn't any suspense at the end. You knew who the bad guys were too early. Other than that, it was one of those "stay up till 3 am to finish" type of books.

Summary: Not the best Stuart Woods
Review: I was dissapointed in this novel. While I still like Stone Barrington adn I was glad to see Dino included, it was a stretch to have him follow Arrington. I also thought that he tried to tie in to many different story lines one this one. Many of his other books are my favorites. I would recommend all of the others. This one is ok, but don't read as your first.

Summary: Not a pageturner for me
Review: I'm always looking for a book that I can't book down, a who-dunnit that keeps me guessing to the end. This book was not it. Though Woods is great at fleshing out his main characters, he dragged out the mystery way to long to the point where I was disintrested.

Summary: Wow! Definitely the Best in the Stone Series!
Review: If I could give 6 stars, I would!! This is definitely Stuart Woods best Stone Barrington novel yet. While I felt that "Dead in the Water" was not so good, you might want to read it before reading "Swimming to Catalina" because one kind of flows to the other. Stone continues to be real cool and I love him more and more with each novel that I read. The plot line in this novel is excellent. It keeps going and going and I never wanted to put the book down. Every single part of the book was excellent. I highly recommend!
