Rating: Summary: Good story, but little romance Review: What I really miss in this story is the chance to get to know the persons better. Instead they remain strangers, and I really don't care whether they get together or not. The story though is so exciting that I still managed to finish the book.Casey Straton goes bounty hunting in an attempt to convince her father about her abilities to run her grandfathers ranch. After some months, Damien Ruthledge, businessman and city boy, stumbles into her camp. Not knowing her to be a woman, but amaced by her abilities with a gun, he hires her to hunt down the man who killed his father.
Rating: Summary: The Sequel to A Heart So Wild....and wild it is! Review: All I Need Is You is the sequel to A Heart So Wild, and what a sequel it is too! The first book traces the romance of the parents, Chandos Straton and Courtney Harte, the sequel is the story of one of their children, their daughter, Casey. To prove to her father that she is capable of running a major family ranching interest, Casey decides to take employment doing what a man can do. She thus becomes a bounty hunter and is hired by Damian Rutledge to track his father's murderer. It is an exciting tale, filled with humor and great plot development. But perhaps, one of the more satisfying things is reading about the parents again, so deftly described in the first novel. This is another of Ms. Lindsey's demonstrations of expert writing. It is hard to put this book down, and it is a most enjoyable read.
Rating: Summary: liked, not loved Review: it was a cute book, i like the setting and the plot, but it didn't captivate me. it was a book i could put down and just read whenever i was bored, as oppesed to all of JL other books, were i am so in to the book, i usually wind up reading it in one setting, but this bored one me. their wasnt enough spark if you ask me, but it wasnt a complete lost, had a bunch of good and funny parts, thats what kept me to see the end of this book. i did feel like i was with them and i kept wondering if casey and damianin would ever get together. hopefully you find a good book.
Rating: Summary: Okay Review: I really enjoy reading books by Johanna Lindsey, but this one wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It was nice to have a heroine instead of a hero, but I thought that Damien Rutledge III was a little too wimpy for my taste. I wished he had been a little bit stronger in order to make the romance a little more realistic. Most strong women don't want a weak man for a husband.
Rating: Summary: A truly fun read! Review: This book was fresh and exciting. I did not know there was a prequel, so now I am going to run out and grab it. Give it a try!
Rating: Summary: another Lindsey pleaser Review: I loved this, but I love all of Johanna Lindsey's books. This was a great read. Casey is an amusing and thoroughly real heroine. Her struggles and minor character flaws endear her to you and create a believable atmosphere. The description of her travelling on her own as a bounty hunter give you a truly detailed glimpse into her nature.
Rating: Summary: could not finish it Review: Yet another disappointment! I believe this will be the last Lindsey book I ever pick up. I really liked the concept but again, poorly written. The characters are irritatingly one dimensional. They are constantly bickering and without the sexual tension that makes a romance novel tick. I couldn't even finish reading it.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Review: Ms. Lindsay has never let me down in her writing, and this book is proof of that. Her plot is wonderful with twists and turns. Although it is not as good as Chandos's story it is right behind it. The most intriging thing about this book is the characters. They are different from every other romance novel. The woman can take care of herself. She is not a pampered little girl. While the man is a 'tenderfoot'and needs help in everything he does. The characters are unique and impressionable. Her writing is fantastic. I have read this book many times and never grow tired of it. I never will. Johanna Lindsays books just keep getting better!
Rating: Summary: Not up to her old standards Review: I thought this book was going to be lots of fun. Unfortunately, the characters made big mistakes that distracted from the fun. The heroine comes across as childish. And the hero acts like a know-it-all, even though he's a tenderfoot. Even worse, the last part of the book is anticlimatic. After Casey and Damian solve their main problem, the book starts to drag. If you want to enjoy a Lindsey, reread one of your favorites instead of buying this one. I gave this one a D+ at All About Romance.
Rating: Summary: Lindsey Biggest Fun Review: I am also one of Johanna Lindsey fan. There are many of her books I could not and would not put down. When I pick up this book and saw it was a noval about Chandos and Courtney daugter I had to read it; especial since their story was one I loved(I loved how Chandos always calls Courtney "cateyes." I just finish reading this book today. It was o.k. I was mainly the ending that got to me. It could have been better. But, seeing how I just love Mrs.Lindseys work, I will read anything she writes.
