Rating: Summary: If You Love Lindsey You'll Love This Book Review: I loved All I Need Is You because it brought back the familiar name of Straton, if you remember A Heart So Wild with Courtney and Chandos, reading about their only daughter was a fun experance because I always like it when they go back and introduce you to the children and even grandchilden of the heroes and heroines that I come to love in previous books. And I loved that fact that Casey wasn't a simpering female crying because she couldn't get her way. She went out and proved that she could do the same work of a man or even better than a man. I also enjoyed that fact that Damien Rutledge III was a prissy city boy but his character development into a man was very rewarding. The only problem with this book is that is wasn't longer it sort of felt like Ms. Lindsey got tired of the story line and added a quick ending, not that the ending wasn't good. I enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed all of Ms. Lindsey's stories. I just hope she keeps writing. Exspecially the ones that continue to tell us about the families we come to love.
Rating: Summary: Not my favourite Lindsey book Review: I liked the book but it is not one that I would read a second time. With other Johanna Lindsey books I have re-read them many times. The characters are likeable and the setting is well-described (almost felt that I was there!), but the story just didn't grab my attention like "Gentle Rogue" or "Hearts of Thunder". By virtue of the fact that it is a Johanna Lindsey book, makes "All I Need Is You" still worth reading!
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Need of All Review: This has got to be one of the most beautiful love stories that I have read in a long time. As an avid reader of romance novels for the past 30 years that is saying quite a mouthful, but do not just believe me, find out for yourself. This book is a must read for all historical romance lovers. It is a marvelous story that takes the reader across the vast plains of 1892 Texas following the trail of a suspected murderer. It is a tender love story with characters that are simply unforgettable. Casey Stratton needs to prove to her father Chandos that she is capable of doing any job that a man can do. To prove this she cuts her hair, puts on men's clothing, and runs away in the middle of the night to begin a career that only a man can do, become a successful bounty hunter. Damian Rutledge III came west with an important need of his own, to find the man that murdered his father. As green as they come he is totally lost until he runs across the campfire of a young boy who claims to be a bounty hunter and calls himself simply Kid. Who could be better than a professional bounty hunter to help him find a murderer? So with the remarkable tracking ability that Kid learned from his father, and not to mention even a faster draw, the chase begins. But Damian is not quite the tenderfoot that Kid believes him to be and KId is not exactly what Damian thought he was either. It does not take Damian long to discover that underneath Kid's dirty clothes is a very beautiful young woman, Casey Stratton. Ride along with these two unforgettable people as they discover for themselves the greatest need of all, that where love is concerned "All I Need is You."
Rating: Summary: Sequel to "A Heart So Wild" Review: Casey Stratton is the daughter of Chandos and Courtney. She has inherited her mother's eyes and her father's determination. Chandos' father has passed away and left the Bar M to his 3 grandchildren. Casey is determined to run the ranch on her own, but her father forbids it. Those ranch hands would never follow a woman. So Casey decides to prove her father wrong by doing something a woman would never do, become a bounty hunter. Casey has been doing well on her own disguised as a boy. Then a rich tenderfoot from New York stumbles upon her campsite. He is on the trail of the man that murdered his father, but has suffered every mishap along the way. Casey grudgingly takes him under her wing and later into her heart as she discovers that despite this man's naivite' about the "wild West," he is strong, skilled, and determined to bring his father's killer to justice.Johanna Lindsey has again written a delightfully entertaining romance with the daughter of one of my favorite couples. The discovery of the characters' attraction to one another is wonderful and the story hooks you and keeps you interested. A joy for Johanna Lindsey fans.
Rating: Summary: Johanna Lindsey still has the gift Review: How can readers say that a book is a page skipper then complain that the plot isn't fully developed? Hello, you have to read the book. And as for the remarks about having Damien portrayed as a 'tenderfoot' - if a man has no weaknesses then that is an undeveloped character. I was throughly delighted by this book and I have returned to it many times to reread, if fact I have the audiotapes in my car for trips. Johanna Lindsey still has her gift of writing - unfortunately some readers no longer take the time to read the entire book.
Rating: Summary: Good sequel to 'A Heart So Wild'!!! Review: While I will admit to liking a Heart So Wild a little better than this one, I still found this book to be good. Not great, but good. Casey is kind of annoying, but, all in all I gave this book fours stars because I loved the storyline and Damien....need I say anything about this gorgeous hunk of man who can do anything!!!!! Read this book. You will like it, even if not as much as some of JL's other books.
Rating: Summary: Worst Lindsey Ever Review: I can't believe that THIS book was the follow-up to Lindsey's blockbuster "A Heart So Wild." Casey's dad Chandos was a man to fall madly in love with. Unfortunately, this story's "hero" (or "zero") is a WIMP. Casey is totally annoying. I also didn't like the way Casey got away with everything. If Lindsey had stayed true to Chandos' character, then he would NEVER have let her go bounty-hunting with some strange man. Overall, this is a major disappointment. If you see this book, run in the opposite direction!

Rating: Summary: Cowgirl and City Boy Review: Casey Straton is out to prove something to her dad - that she as a woman could run the ranch she and her siblings have inherited just fine. To do so, she has run away from home (yeah, real mature) and taken up bounty hunting. No dummy, she wears mens outfits and has cut her hair short - although she's never SAID she's a male, she knows that is the impression that others get from her new look. Damian Rutledge III has come west seeking revenge and needs to find a criminal and take him to justice. However, the West is harsh on 'greenhorns' and he soon finds himself in need of the assistance of the bounty hunter they call 'Kid'. How Damian stumbles across Casey, how they travel together in search of bounty and find more than they bargain for is told with Lindsey's customary charm and ability with romance. I found the tale to be a gentle romance with a light touch of steaminess, I doubt any of which would offend. It didn't exactly rock my world, but it did keep me interested from start to finish.
Rating: Summary: A "Pass the time" Book Review: This particular book had a very slow start up. In the previous novels I have read by Johanna Lindsey, by Chapter 3-4 I was wanting more. In this case, it was a task just picking up the book. It got exciting midway, then it got long and drawn out again. I just wanted to finish and get it over with. Not one of her best works. If your are home on a Sunday with nothing else better to do, this book will probably help you pass the time.
