Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Shallow, though readable Review: Although this was a highly readable book, I found it to be rather shallow compared to some of his other books. There is no charachter definition for the three main charachters, so I really didn't care what happened to them. In fact, I didn't even understand the importance of Dana. I even figured out 'who-done-it' way before the somewhat less than shocking conclusion. Hopefully Mr. Sheldon's next bone will have a little more meat on it.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Trash Review: Twisted perspectives combined with a meaningless plot make this book absolutely avoidable unless you are a die-hard Sheldon addict!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: clever, professionally done but shallow Review: I can appreciate why a lot of people liked this book. It's clever, retains the readers interest despite the lack of depth. This would make a better soap opera than a book however. It left me with a hollow feeling. I learned nothing, had no new experiences or insights into the world as a result of this book. But it accomplished it's objective -- commercial mass marketability.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Where has the old Sidney gone? Review: Being a fan of SS, I just had to buy The Best Laid Plans. But what a disappointment! I finished the book in one day. The characters seem two dimensional and there is no way such a book can compare with other novels of SS such as Rage of Angels, Tomorrow Never Comes and the Other Side of Midnight. It seems as if SS has delegated his novel writing to an inferior surrogate. Eagerly awaiting for Sidney to make a comeback .
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: This book has a great beginning, but a rather flat ending Review: I love the whole idea of, "Hell hath no fury..." if only Mr. Sheldon would have stuck with that. The main character fizzled, and instead of getting her revenge she just turned into a b--h.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: A good book, but a little bit of a let-down at the end. Review: The book kept my interest. But the ending was disappointing because it ended and you didn't know what happened to certain characters. Like, what happened to Peter Tager and Leslie. I was happy for Dana but you just had to assume what happened to the President, Peter Tager and Leslie, especially. The ending could have been better.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: GREAT BOOK!!!! Review: This book was wonderful! I read it so fast until I was sorry that I had. It was a real page turner with a great suprise ending. If you want a good read - BUY THIS ONE!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I love Sidney Sheldon and this book! Review: Sidney Sheldon is my favorite author. I waited a long time for Best Laid Plans to come out in paperback, but it was worth it. I was in the middle of reading a different book, and when I saw Sidney's book out in paperbook, I bought it, put aside the other book I was reading and read Best Laid Plans in 24 hours. I couldn't put it down. I love the plot twists and turns. You never know how his books are going to end, who the real villian is. I am now waiting for his next book to come out. SIDNEY YOU ARE THE BEST!!! Keep writing.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Charming page-turner. Review: I found THE BEST LAID PLANS a delightfully gripping read. Sheldon tops himself here; the best read since Sheldon's new novel (that I read first) and Craig Furnas's THE SHAPE; I missed my bed time three times trying to have the self-discipline to put THE BEST LAID PLANS down. But I couldn't. I read it to the end that last night.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Sheldon at his best?....I don't think so Review: What a disappointment. I haven't read Sheldon in a while so I settled down for a good read on vacation. I kept looking at the author name to convince myself this was really Sheldon. This novel lacks any depth. The descriptive paragraphs and development of characters is thin at best. The plot was interesting but very predictable. No, I didn't have the ending figured out but three quarters of the way I almost gave up on the story getting any better. It is worth reading for the plot twist at the end, but you can skip the first 100 pages and not miss anything. Sheldon has certainly lost his edge. I think I'll go back to his earlier works I have yet to read. His very best were "The Other Side of Midnight" and "Memories of Midnight", even though they were written years apart.
