Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: What happened to Sheldon? Review: This is by far the worst Sidney Sheldon book I've ever read! It insults the intelligence of the readers. It's so trashy and there's NO SUBSTANCE whatsoever. This book is so shallow!!! I was so disappointed after reading the book--I had such high hopes when I bought it--I thought it would be as good as his other books such as Sands of Time and Master of the Game. Stay away from this one...

Review: Sidney Sheldon strikes again!Of the many books that I had read,I must say I'm fascinated by the plot and the characters are so REAL. Sheldon diverts your attention whenever you thought that you are onto something. As I said, this is the best book ever...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: I enjoyed the book, had a hard time to put it down Review: I have everyone of Sidney Sheldons books. His book was the first book I every read. I do not like to read, but as soon as I bought his first book I could not put it down. I have since then bought every other book and found that I had a hard time putting anyone of them down. I wish the paper backs would come out a lot sooner than they do. I see his hard backs on the store shelves and I just keep waiting till they hit paper back. I an waiting for his next book to come out in paper back and I hope I won't be disappointed in it.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Sappy for the most part, but readable. Review: About a year ago, I couldn't keep my eyes off this book when I entered a store. Each week that it was there, I'd pick it up and flip through it; I was determined to somehow read it. So, now, a year later, I finally have read it. And I am somewhat disappointed. Sheldon never really made you care for the characters in this book. Adding Zoltaire was no great biggy, either. The bad guys were unobvious, which is is good, but the bad guy was a really good guy at heart. Now, it's true that good, Godly people do go wrong, but, hey, THIS badly?? At times I felt that I was reading a soap-opera than a suspense novel. Overall, this isn't a half-bad book and I'd give it 2 1/2 stars if I could.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The best book ever read! Review: As a student in Singapore, I haven't had much time for reading storybooks due to the long school hours and tight schedule for exams and tests. But I make it a point to read at least 50 pages a day to nourish my mind. But when I picked up The Best Laid Plans, I had a feeling that it would be good. (Partly because I like the cover also) This is also my first Sidney Sheldon book, and I must say I was astounded by the shift flow of events and double meanings used in this book. It also shows how people think in their mind, which is absent in most books and we cannot truly develope a clear understanding of the characters. Apart from the errotic moments in this book that most people are interested in, the plot is superb and unpredictable. It moves you in circles, but at the same time, well paced and can be easily followed. The number of characters is also ample to draw out the plot, but Sidney doesn't overdo it. For example, when a story includes and draws in too many characters, it confuses people. I couldn't stop, I broke my plan and finished it in 2 days. I am so happy to have bought this book and wish that Sidney will continue to produce novels of such high qualities. And that also mean that I will buy a bulk of his past 15 or so novels!
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: ENTERTAINING! by M. Boucher Review: THE BEST LAID PLANS is a solid improvement from Sheldon's previous novel MORNING, NOON & NIGHT (see review). His main character, Leslie Stewart, is one tough cookie. Nothing can stop her in her quest to ruin the President of the United States. Why? Well, you'll just have to read it to find out (unless, of course, you read some other reviews below)! Sheldon delievers a non-stop action whodunit that captures the reader on the first page and never let go. Plotted tightly, with an abundance of twists and turns, and a climax worthy of its author's name, THE BEST LAID PLANS will surely enhance Sheldon's reputation as Master of Suspense. A well-deserved bestseller!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Author was very good at deceiving you. Review: This was the first Sydney Sheldon book I have ever read and it won't be the last. The author was always very conspicous at not revealing any clues. I absolutely did not know who the killer was until the very end. It was also exciting to read how Lesley tried to get revenge against her ex-boyfriend for cancelling the engagement, and she assumed he was the killer. Thanks/Cheryl
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Intriging, suspensful, twist ending. Review: Sidney Sheldon has done it once again with this book. Every book he writes will hold you until the end. "The Best Laid Plans" involves an American President who has secrets and a vengful newspaper owner who is out to ruin the President's life any way she can. This book is full of scandal, deceit, revenge, romance, and murder. You name it, this book probably has got it. This book is sort of like the scandal going on right now in the White House with our President. This book is a GREAT read and it has a twist ending to it. I won't give it away so pick it up and read it for yourself!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Weak story, little closure Review: The story started strong but seemed to get lost. Characters were poorly developed. Too many were introduced and then abandoned allowing for a loss of focus by the reader. While the surprise ending was clever, the book screams for an epilog of some kind.
