Rating: Summary: Rushed Ending Review: Great build up of characters but a disappointing climax. Dana Evans, the reporter, was built up as much as Leslie and Oliver but only had a minor part in the storyline.
Rating: Summary: A Twisty Page Turner that makes you enter Sidney's World! Review: A well written, quick reading book that really makes you think, 'was that so?' but 'wasn't it....?' An excellent depiction of today and tomorrow's world where money and power reign supreme and might is right. Excellent descriptions of ambitions, drives and pure hard work that people put in and the lengths they go to, to get what they want!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful--Fast Paced-Read! Review: I finished this book in 24 hours....What a wonderful plot, it kept me guessing till the very end....It took all my will power not to flip to the last page to see how it endsBUY IT...YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!!

Rating: Summary: this is not the best from sidney sheldon. Review: sidney sheldon is a very good writer, but the best laid plans didn't leave to my expectation. i think that this is a book that was rushed. his last three books are not that good anymore. his earlier works are very good. i read all of them. my favorites are windmills of the gods, if tomorrow comes, sands of time and the other side of midnight. i hope his next book, tell me your dreams will be equally as good as those four.
Rating: Summary: AS GOOD AS IT GETS Review: As usually, Sidney Sheldon is a master of suspense and intriques. Not one of his best, but still so an excellent book to read. I have and read every book of Mr. Sheldon.
Rating: Summary: A superb experience in the talents of Sidney Sheldon Review: Sidney sheldon has done it again with his captivating story of revenge and its consequences. Once again Sheldon, has written a masterpiece, proving that he is truly one of the greatest writers of our time. With no end of suspence and romance, this book keeps the reader captivated and spellbound. Sheldon, has a way of producing likeable characters and horrible, vindictive villans, who will force you to keep turning the pages. Anyone who is lucky enough to read this book will be spellbound and, as I do, will yearn for more. Read this book and I am positive you will not be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: UNPREDICTABLE Review: The ending is indeed unpredictable! I never knew who was the actual murderer till the end of the book. Sidney Sheldon has indeed outdone his capabilities. Senator Davis is a manipulating person who put his trust in the wrong person. Jan Davis is one woman who will sacrifice everything for the well-being of her husband's position and career. Leslie Stewart is a clever woman who knows how to put her assets to good use but was driven by the humiliation caused by Oliver Russel and made her wrong move in her own game of chess. Oliver Russel is a lecher but at least he puts his heart to making the country he presided a better place to live in. Maybe Oliver and Leslie should not have met in the first place, which in the end, making each other's lives mserable. Peter Tager is a man who hides his real personality form everybody's eyes so well, that even a clever person like Senator Davis was fooled by him including everybody. Dana was the only person, I guess, who was busy making others' lives more meaningful.
Rating: Summary: Knock, Knock?? Where are you Mr. Sheldon?? Review: "The Best Laid Plans" was a definite disappointment. I mean, where did the REAL Sidney Sheldon go?? His last two or three books have been major disappontments--this one, Morning, Noon, & Night, and the one before that. Mr. Sheldon is a genius no doubt, but somewhere in the past few years he's been losing that ingenious creative writing skill that he used in his earlier novels. What happened to the "sit on the edge of your seat" thriller like "Master of the Game", "Stranger in the Mirror", "If Tomorrow Comes"? I miss the depth of the characters that he lacks to define in this book. Yeah, I'd like to say that because of the political theme of the book I have given it a thumbs down since I'm not into politics;however, that is not true. A good book is a good book--and this one ain't one of 'em!
Rating: Summary: Mr. Sheldon's back! And in great style!!! Review: Readers of Sidney Sheldon- especially the avid ones like me, for instance- will not be disappointed in the leastest with his latest creation. I had to wait an agonizingly long time for it to come out in paperback here. I can only say that it was very well worth the wait. As always, I picked it up and couldn't put it down. There's a big number of plot twists and turns, which to a reader would probably indicate the author would lose himself amidst the intricacies of his own plot. Though this doesn't happen with Mr. Sheldon. He knows just exactly what to do and when to do it, and ties up a whole series of twists and turns into a neatly straightened out and highly inventive plot, with the traditional bang-finale. Well done once again, Mr. Sheldon!
