Summary: Stuart's stinker
Review: This reads like a formula. The characters, especially Stone are flat and silly. I had 100 pages to go and didn't care if they all got murdered. I hope we have bottomed out and it is up hill for Mr. Woods from here.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Fast Read But Not Up to His Usual Standards
Review: Have read several of Stuart Woods' novels and have always enjoyed his style, the twists and turns he employs in his plots, and most especially, he way of phrasing. Found this particular plot line interesting but the writing was not up to par--I know it may seem picky but I found that he re-used certain phrases repeatedly, which I found not only annoying but gave the book a mechanical feeling. But even a lesser writing style can be overlooked if the plot is such that you can't put the book down. Unfortunately, this book starts off like gangbusters and simply peters out. The conclusion feels hurried and a bit too pat. If you are looking for quintessential Woods, go back to Palindrome, Chiefs or White Cargo - by far a superior read.

Summary: Another great one from Stuart
Review: This book grabbed me from the very beginning. Stone Barrington is back! If you have liked the other Stone stories then I believe you will also enjoy this one. It was a quick easy read that kept you interested through the entire book.

Summary: Disappointing Addition to Stone Barrington Series
Review: The earlier Stone Barrington novels were farfetched, but riveting, with an attractive hero and tongue-in-cheek humor. But, in "Worst Fears Realized," Stuart Woods continues a decline that began with the execrable "Orchid Beach." This book is better than "Beach," but not by much. It does have Stone Barrington, which is something. But where is the humor? Where is the mystery? Woods is writing by numbers these days, and it's unfortunate, because the man can write well. When he tries.

Summary: Compelling Reading
Review: I am a voracious reader and am constantly looking for writers who capture your imagination and keep you turning pages. This book was fascinating and took me one eveing to read. Then, as I realized that there were other books featuring the main character I wanted to find them all and keep getting that surge of excitement you get when you read a truly interesting and exciting book.

Summary: VERY ENTERTAINING
Review: Anytime you are looking for entertainment pick up a novel by Stuart Woods.

Stone Barrington returns to team up with his partner Dino Bachetti to investigate why those closest to him are turning up dead. Many of Stone's friends resurface including Arrington ( his love from previous novels ), she is now married. Stone shakes things up by investigating, as well as getting involved with a woman he should not be involved with.

The pacing is FAST, the plot SLICK and the climax SATISFYING.

Stuart Woods has written another WINNER.

Summary: Great Read!
Review: I am a big fan of all Stuart Woods books, and found this one to stand up to the others -- my favs are Dead in the Water and Swimming to Catalina, but I'd say this is #3

Summary: EXCITING, FAST-PACED FUN!
Review: I've read all of Wood's books, and this is my favorite - they just keep getting better and better! His books are so EXCITING they are a quick read, and yet they are so much fun, you don't want them to end! Don't over-analyze them - they are FICTION - just have fun and ENJOY them!

Summary: A laugh a minute
Review: I am not a great fan of mysteries, but I think this writer is very amusing and never to be taken seriously. All of his characters are completely decadent. All they do is eat, drink a lot and fornicate a lot. The stories have silly plots, bad dialogue and characters with no morals whatsoever. Lots of fun!

Summary: Worst Fears Realized
Review: Ok, I'm only 15, and I didn't enjoy reading at all...until I read Stuart Woods' "worst fears realized". I've never been so into a book like this one. And I saw how people rated this book and i was in shock, I couldn't believe it. Maybe it's because they enjoy some sort of other writting. I really enjoythis book and it's motivating me to read more...I'm wishing that Woods comes out with another book and fast....anyone have any suggestions for another book like this?
