Summary: Spectacular Book
Review: This book is totally captivating. From the
moment I picked it up, it became like a magnet in
my hands, holding my eyes as if I were in a trance.
This is Grisham at his best. I reccommend this book to
viewers of all ages, or shall I say to anyone who is literate.

Summary: The Client was a thrilling story by a gifted author.
Review: The Client was a excellent story about a young boy who knows where the body of a Senator is hidden. The FBI will stop at nothing to find out and the baddies will stop at nothing to keep it secret. Excellent courtroom scenes and fabolous writing will keep you reading long into the night..

Summary: I liked this book because it's exciting
Review: I'm only 11 and I just started reading larger books. I'm also a avid reader and this is one of the best books I've read in a very long time. It doesn't have all that bed stuff, yet it doesn't lack the legal and murder mystery. I think John Grisham is at his best in this book.

Summary: wrong genre, Grisham
Review: Come on, now. A kid goes into shock for the entire length of the novel, just because he saw his big brother in a precarios situation? What kind of stuff is this kid made of? Does he wet his pants whenhe gets a bad report card? This and many other elements of The Client are the makings of a great fairy tale. but not serious fiction. The only reason I stayed with this one was to see if Cinderella and Snow White would make appearances.

Summary: You'll be mad if you read this book
Review: Caveat: I'm not a huge Grisham fan, so I'm sure some bias has slipped in here. But I think this book is just awful. While his other books are at least entertaining, this thing dies quickly after a semi-decent premise. The biggest problem is that there's only about 50 pages worth of story, and a writer with his minimal powers of description can't get away with hundreds of pages of fluff. Don't read this book--read Presumed Innocent instead.

Summary: One of Grisham's Greatest
Review: This book had me hooked from page one. I just couldn't put it down, and that of course, is the mark of a great book. It is truly believeble and actually had me fearing for the life of Mark Sway, even though I knew he was the hero of the book. One in which you hated the bad guys, rooted for the good guys, and were disgusted by the lawyers trying to get in the way of their safety, a truly great book.

Summary: The law alone will not keep them safe...
Review: Mark Sway and his younger brother are on their own while their mother struggles to make ends meet at a crummy job. While she is at work, the temptation to misbehave proves too great. The boys sneak off into the woods near their trailer park to smoke cigarettes, and end up witnessing the suicide of a lawyer. He was about to embark on a huge trial involving the mob, but before his drunken demise he reveals a secret to Mark that puts him in grave danger, as both defendants and prosecutors prove they will do anything to uncover Mark's secret. Mark Sway seeks out help and protection from those after him, and happens upon Ms. Reggie Love. Reggie is a divorced, middle-aged woman who's just recently passed the bar exam. Scarred by the effects of alcoholism, including a husband and children who left her long ago, Reggie has struggled to regain control of her life and bury the pain of her past. Reggie takes Mark as her client, but soon finds that the law alone will not keep them safe. And she will do anything necessary to protect her client... and herself. This book has many stories. It is of a lawyer protecting a client. It is of a young boy in need of someone to care for him and keep him safe. It is a story of social class, the Sways having everything stacked against them emotionally, medically, and legally because they simply don't have enough money. This is also a tale of a woman who overcame severe personal problems and starts over, determined to do things right this time, no matter what. This is a fabulous story. The movie was also well done, but, as usual, the book is always better. Many kudos to Mr. Grisham for giving us this suspenseful tale; it's one of his best.

Summary: Great book. If you've once started, you won't stop
Review: The Client is really a nice book to read, easy to understand even for Non-Americans. Compared to the book, you can almost forget the movie, except Tommy Lee Jones.

Summary: It's called a plot. FIND ONE!
Review: This book Mentions my high school, Which for this dead-head area, is pretty amazing. What is even more amazing is that was the high point of the book. I feel sorry for anyone who reads this book but did not go to my school, they don't have a high point.
