Summary: A MASTERPIECE!!!!
Review: John Grisham's book about the 11 year-old Mark is truly one of the best books I've ever read! I've read the book once and seen the movie once. When I saw the movie I think it was a little bit different than the book (I don't quite remember because I read it so long ago). I'd give it (If you could go higher than ten) a 10+. I highly recommend it.

Summary: It's the best book I have ever read!
Review: This book was the best! I have read other Grisham's and they were OK, and they all deal with the law. So does this, but it is full of action, and excitment, and I really recomend this book. If you haven't read it, READ IT, 'cause you'll be missin out on somethin' good otherwise. I am 12 years old, and it wasn't bad at all, and I recommend this for everyone. 156-6 years. Anything. It was great.

Summary: A DRAMA THRILLER MASTERPIECE
Review: The client is one of Grisham's finest works. It is a masterpiece that puts thriller and drama both together in an excellent combination. It makes you turn the pages without you feel.

Summary: avoid this
Review: The book started out great and I had high hopes. Soon though, it went quickly downhill - what a shame. Mr. Grisham undoubtedly has talent (read 'The Firm') but unfortunatly it's obvious he's writing within the constraints of a deadline. After the first few chapters, the story and quality quickly falls apart. Come on, an 11 year-old kid outwitting the mob, not mention getting a lawyer out of danger ? Too unbelievable. Also, his brother goes into a coma because he witnessed someone killing themself ? How can anyone believe this let alone be entertained by it ? I realize it's fiction but there are limits as to what we can be expected to believe. 'The Firm' was a pretty good book but this one was pure cr***p ! Grisham should rethink his career and decide if money is more important than self-respect - he's lost mine.

Summary: Best novel in a long while... "The Client".
Review: When I read "The Client", it was not the type of book I usually read. I had been reading books by Jack Higgins, Tom Clancy, and the like.
I love espionage, but, my wife bought it for me, because SHE thought that I would find it interesting.

I owned "The Client" for several weeks before I actually read it. It did seem interesting, but I was studying for finals, and didn't want to commit to anything that would occupy too much of my time.

So after finals, I began reading, and three days later, I asked my wife to get me another book by Grisham, and she bought me "A Time To Kill".

Needless to say, I had DEVOURED "The Client".

Since I have a very hearty interest in Federal Law Enforcement, I really ate-up "The Client". And, since I grew-up partly in the South, I could really associate with the young boy(Mark Sway). It made me reflect on my own childhood, especially when I would steal one of my mother's smokes, grab my little brother (Kyle) and head for the fishing-hole.

Grisham did a fine job of bringing the characters to life. One of my favorites was the "Reverend Roy". The developement of Rev. Roy was absolutely beautiful. And being from the South, I have met people just like Rev. Roy, and they live among us even now. If you're not from the South, you may not know what I'm talking about, but they ARE here, believe me.

Reading "The Client" changed my author interests somewhat.

I have added a new section to my collection.

I call it "Grisham".

Summary: Most captivating book he's written yet
Review: The book held me speachless. I had visions of the characters from page 1. A movie was spinning through my mind before this book was made into a movie. NOTHING can compare to the drama of this title.

Summary: Excellent Book!!!
Review: This book had my attention the whole way through. John Grisham is such an intense writer and the story was gripping all the way to the end. I recommend this book to anyone!! Even if you have never read any of his other books, or if you don't think you would enjoy it. Give it a try and I guarantee that you will be hooked!!

Summary: Not my best book!
Review: The movie doesn't really do it justice however if you haven't seen the movie I think that you would enjoy the book.

Summary: "The Client" captivates yet another victim!
Review: Grisham does it again in this heart-stopping thriller about a young boy (Mark Sway)who witholds the important information of the loaction on the body of one senator Boyd Boyette. Only thing I didn't like is the shallow portrayel of the Reverand Roy Foltrigg; it doesn't make him a very formidable opponent when nobody likes him!

Summary: Grisham is a master.
Review: Grisham is truly a master. He kept my attention and intrest in this book from the beginning to the end. Out of all the books I've read of his this is my favorite. I'd recommend it to all people, readers, even non readers.
