Summary: This book is worth reading
Review: Kala Coffey 5-18-99 Book Review

The Client, written by John Grisham, basically dealt with the mob, their ties, and how the mob would kill anyone without caring who it was, just as long as they didn't get caught. First, the mob had killed Boyd Boyette because he was trying to hold them back from building a toxic waste dump near New Orleans. Then Jerome Clifford commited suicide because "The Blade" had told him where the body was. Unfortunately Jerome tells Mark Sway, an eleven-year-old boy, where it's at, right before he kills himself. And now the mob wants Mark to keep quiet. Mark's little brother, Ricky, has also seen the suicide, and goes into shock because of it. This book tells a lot about the FBI and how they are kind of cold-hearted: They don't care about how they get their information, just as long as they get it. Now Mark has to decide whetherto tell the FBI or keep the suicied information to himself.

Summary: Enticing Book
Review: I quite enjoyed reading this thrilling story of the life of eleven year old Mark Sway. He deals with situations in the book like an adult. I don't think that an eleven year old boy could ever act like Mark does. What can I say. It's such a typical John Grisham book. Usually there is a character that is being persued by some evil power. Through hardship, and a bit of luck, the character usually defeats evil. In other words, Grisham is writing screenplays...

Summary: A PAGE TURNER THAT KEEPS YOU UP ALL NIGHT!
Review: I've been asked by my Dad on numerous occasions to put the book down and go to sleep. The book really is that good, it keeps you hooked from page 1 to page 560+. The characters are very real and you feel you know them. The plot is simple but makes for a very good read. Just in case you wonder, I am 13 years old and despite this, I enjoyed the book immensely. This is my first John Grisham novel and I look forward to reading many more of his books.

Summary: One of Grisham's Best
Review: This book is a must read. The people in the book are pretty down to earth and the book is addicting. The one complaint I have is with Mark Sway. I mean, I'm pretty young, 14, but Mark acts either way too young or way to old. For example, one scene, he's saying 5th ammendment every 2 seconds when they said over and over he can't take the fifth, however, in another he seems to know how to break out of jail without guards around him, you'll see, if you haven't read it, but it's kind of wierd to think about.

Summary: Just Thrilling!!!
Review: The desire to find out what would happen next kept me turning pages even when I was not supposed to be reading anymore. This was the first Grisham's bestseller I read but yet good enough to make me regard him as a master of the chase story.

Summary: A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY
Review: Awful!!!! What was Grisham thinking when he wrote this one??!?! (I can't even call it a book). It was terrible! I mean, since when does a 12 year old kid act like that? What a bad book. Grisham should be arrested for writing The Client. No book like this should ever be published, especially when you've read his other works.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The book is totally great!!!
Review: I read this book and I think that this is John Grisham's best book. A good read!!! I recommend this to everyone.
