Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Effective tool for learning spoken Vietnamese
Review: These two tapes are very good. The English and Vietnamese speakers have very pleasant voices and the pronounciations are about 99 percent accurate. One thing to be noted, however, is the use of the definite article with every single word in the noun section of the tapes (Side A Tape 1). The use of noun markers in front of the Vietnamese nouns strike me as redundant and inefficient, but perhaps this is just me.

Overall, a great buy and an easy way to develop an authentic North Vietnamese accent. Plus, my Vietnamese friends tell me that I have developed a very nice accent from my tape, so the Vietnamese speaker has a good voice that anyone would be proud to have. :)
