Rating: Summary: A real eye opener to Scientific Fraud for evolution Review: This book is interesting in that it shows the scientific fraud, fakery, and outright lies that have permeated the world in the name of valid science. Hank Hanegraaf shows, with hard science, the complete Fraud that is evolution. He shows how it would be, for all intensive purposes, statistically impossible for even one amino acid or protein molecule to even form on it's own, by chance. Also in the book are the many examples of archaelogical fraud used to "advance" the case of evolution, but in reality just show us that from a purely archaelogical viewpoint, evolution has no basis for fact. This book is an eye opener, and in the words of Hank Hanegraaf himself, "If you begin as a creationist, you will become equipped to demonstrate the farce of evolution. In addition, your confidence in the Christian worldview will be solidified. If you begin as an evolutionist, the shaky pillars of your worldview will be underminded."
Rating: Summary: Yet another pathetic rehash. . . Review: The same myopic and scientifically inept arguments used by christian fundamentalists have reared their FACE yet again on the issue of science versus religion. If propaganda is what one is interested in--a bolstering of faithful zeal or an impetus for the scientifically illiterate yet theologically curious to grasp that much more steadfast at America's vogue religion--this book is for you. In this book Hanegraaff has the vile audacity to equate evolution with the egregious injustices served upon the oppressed of history--namely racism and sexism, even an allusion to the bedfellowship between Hitler and his arch-nemesis, Darwinian though itself. Apparently, following his line of reasoning, one would expect to find little or no bigotry predating the publishing of Darwin's The Origin of the Species. Yet, need it be said, but I could have sworn even America's legacy of abject slavery well predates this ruthless equivocation by Hanegraaff. Moreover, if in fact his assessment of evolution begetting racism and sexism and every other nasty 'ism the world contains is true wouldn't one also expect to find slurs of every hateful type dripping from the writings of Bronowski, Sagan, Dawkins etcetera. If your clueless, go right up to the top of the screen screen and run a simple search. . .read them for yourselves (among myriad others).Truth, apparently these days is best expressed via a plastic car decal gorging itself on a Darwin fish. If that's how you feel, then again, this book is for you. To mention nothing of the nearly two hundred years of scientific research that has ensued since Darwin's more prejudiced Victorian days. Hanegraaff might do well, (as well as his obediant and likewise scientifically dilettante flock)to check out the science section at amazon.com, filled to the brim with authorities in their respective fields and not the subjective whines of a religious leader whose faith is finally being challenged by an adversary which is impervious to superstitious dogma. Long live empirical evidence (or the fossil record)! What ever you want to call it. Jeremy Keller
Rating: Summary: irrefutable proof of the "farce" of evolution Review: I'm always tickled by reading the reviews of evolutionists on books like this one. All of the basic pillars upon which evolution stands have all but collapsed and that is just a fact. Instead of really using the head God gave them to be objective in their evaluation of the evidence - their reviews merely reflect a regurgitation of their presuppositions rather than a critical anaylsis of the data presented. So goes the saying, "Men willingly believe what they want to believe." Atheists who really believe in evolution have more faith than all evangelical Christian creationists combined. It is so very ironic that the very atoms which make up the tongue they flap about in the wind saying the kinds of things that "A reader from Hong Kong" said above are held together by the God that made them and who reveals himself to them continually. Hank Hannagraff is a highly talented Christian scholar who has made an objective presentation of the evidence against evolution having happened - and to the unbiased person desiring truth, it is overwhelming. Evolution could not possibly have happened, it is a scientific certainty - but the evolutionists will continue to devise their fools errands and rationalize the evidence because when it comes down to it - they do not want to bend their knee.
Rating: Summary: A simple book for simple folk. Review: Hank has written an easy to understand book for those who have trouble understanding one of the most easily understood subjects in science. He shows very clearly that he lacks even the most basic understanding of evolutionary theory. He tears down "a" theory of evolution, but one that bears almost no resemblance to evolutionary science as it is known and practiced by real scientists. This is a book for those who need to believe that they are the focus of the universe; It helps them to ignore their hairy knuckles, appendix, tail bones, canine teeth and bad backs. Every argument he presents can be downloaded for free from fundamentalist web sites. Lucky thing for me it was a gift.
Rating: Summary: This book clearly exposes the fairy tale called evolution Review: Mr. Hanegraaff does an excellent job, showing the fallicies of the argument for evolution. He presents clear & concise scientific data to refute the theory of evolution. Kudos to him for this great work,
Rating: Summary: Easy to read, easy to understand, Darwinism is toast. Review: Hank has clearly demonstrated that evolution could never be. If Mr. Darwin were to share his views in a court of law today, he would be thrown out for lack of evidence. In stark contrast Mr. Hannegraf has given proof that God exists and he is the sole creator of the Universe and everything in it. If there are any Evolutionists left out there, you must read this book. It is time to put an end to Darwinism as we know it, and place Darwin and his thoughts in its rightful place....the science fiction section.
Rating: Summary: Buy it, read it, lend it to a naturalist. Review: If you are new to the creation/evolution debate or know someone who is, this book should be part of your collection. As in his previous works, Hank Hanegraaff does a great job of spelling out the critical issues in terms that everyone can understand. In addition, his unique and creative use of memory devices (FACE/FARCE/FEAT) helps to keep the material stuck in your head long after you've put the book away. Be aware, however, that the arguments contained in this book is not all that new: if you've read Phillip Johnson's books (especially "Defeating Darwinism"), many of the arguments used here will be old news to you. Even so, the subject matter is so important it bears repeating. If I had to make any criticisms, I'd say this: The book was too short to justify a hard cover edition. After breezing through his book in one evening (maybe 4 hours?), I found myself saying, "I paid over $10 for this?!" Ok, maybe I'm cheap, but the book is printed in large type and contains many pictures. Also, the amount of actual material specific to the creation/evolution debate is really pretty small, since the book also contains a number of appendices on abortion, the credibility of the Bible and the sharing of the Christian faith (which are great, don't get me wrong). Some may disagree, but a paperback edition would have been much more suitable. Even so, I'm glad I own it. Get a copy for yourself or a friend and do your part to rid the world of the demonstrably idiotic theory of evolution.
Rating: Summary: A Soothing Salve for Evolutionary Withdrawal Pains. Review: In this volume Hank Hanegraaff exposes the fraud of evolution and reduces it to it's bare essentials, and has done so in a way that is easily understood and easy to recall. Using alliteration and acronyms to make remembering the important points easy, he calls on many resources to support the overwhelming evidence that evolution is a false and fraudulent theory. This is a must read for anyone that does not accept evolution as fact, but has trouble defending that position, as well as those who accept evolution, but are open minded enough to consider an alternative (and much older) explanation for our origins.
Rating: Summary: Hank hits the nail on the head again Review: This book was great! Hank not only proves scientifically that evolution is improbable, but that is is also impossible. And he does it in a easy to read book with tons of references. Also included are excellent appendixes on abortion, cloning, the truthfulness of the bible, and witnessing throw disproving evolution. I bought this book at ten o'clock this morning and it was so readable and fact filled I am finished eight hours later. A must buy for anyone who wants to be prepared for witnessing to evolutionist.
Rating: Summary: Eye Opener Review: Hank Hanegraaf does an outstanding job in this book. He clearly explains that Evolution should not be taught as fact and is a theory that many people believe. No science has ever proved if you having nothing, you can make something. Therefore, a Creator (God) is the only reasonable answer. The book is easy to read and understand. The book ponts out many myths and errors with the teaching of Evolution
