Summary: Lust Of The Flesh
Review: I just had to go back and read "Casting The First Stone." I enjoyed reading about the life of a jackleg preacher. I've heard about them, but I've never really met one (as far as I know). This was a good book. I read a book just recently called "Lust Of The Flesh" and this book reminds me of the preacher in that book.

Summary: Very good book!
Review: I am a big Kimberla Lawson Roby fan, I have read her other books also. TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING was an excellent book, I read it in two days and I am a full time college student and I work full time but I could not put this book down. Boy, all preachers are not what we think they are!

Summary: "Who are we to judge anything?"
Review: This is the sequel to "Casting the first stone."

When I read that this was out, literally I was like what could possibly happen next? Curtis Black, the fine minister from Chicago, with the heart of lust is up to the challenge. Not only is he re-married, he's back as the preacher of another prominent church, and he's up to his old ways!

You constantly fight with yourself to do right, and when you do wrong, you 180 degrees to the wrong! Who of us hasn't fallen short?

It moves a little slow at times, although very predictable and dare I say the exact same storyline as "Casting the first stone", you're interested as to how Pastor Black will resolve his current situation. Juggling a new wife, whose naivete isn't lasting as long as he hoped, his crazy ex-lover Adrienne, his second baby mama Charolette who has the bedroom on lock, his daughter Alicia whose seeking his attention, and dare I forget his grip on his outlandish church, home, car, and prestige!

What would Curtis do when the cookie crumbles again?

Summary: A Nice Revenge
Review: I thought that this novel was impressive. It was like you were there. I like the way the story lines was building up for excitement. It kept you reading more and more. You never know what to expect.

I really enjoy this book!!!!!!

Summary: TOO MUCH LIKE "THE OTHER WOMAN"
Review: Okay now. Who stole who's ending? Erik Jerome Dickey or Kimberly Roby? Since Erick's book has been out the longest...I don't know, Ms. Roby. Plagerism? However, this was a good read. Nothing new---but yet a good read.

Summary: Too much of a good thing
Review: I enjoyed reading Too much of a good thing. I couldn't put the book down. It kept me wanting to read more. Curtis Black is still up to no good. Kimberla Lawson Roby keeps you interested in the book the whole time you are reading. I would suggest this book along with any of her others to be read by everyone. Its a page turner. Great book to read.

Summary: Curtis Black Is A Mess!!!!!!
Review: I absolutely loved this book. Reverend Black was a mess but without him who would we hate in this book. Surely not poor sweet innocent Mariah his new wife. Or his ex-wife Tanya and her new great husband James. I am not being sarcastic but my point is we as a people are always condemning folks like Curtis Black when in reality nobody is perfect. And when Curtis starting showing his natural behind Mariah should of just left him. Mariah had a great support system so there should have been no excuses. Although at times in this read I wanted to strangle Curtis myself it was still very comical how he got away with so many idiotic things. Anyway the way this book ended it's screaming sequel at least that's what I hope. I would like to see Curtis try to do right by his children since he couldn't for his women.

Summary: Well done Ms. Roby!!! Even better than its predecessor!
Review: This sequel to "Casting the first stone" was even better. Curtis is definitely the vilan you just love to hate. The only thing that I didn't like about the book was the part were Ms. Roby tries to turn it into a soap opera by aging the characters. Alicia was six in the last book. The scene in this book takes place five years later but now she's fourteen. What's that about?

The way the book is set up and the way all of the characters go through twists and turns, especially the dangers of minors and the internet, makes it hard to put this book down.

There just has to be a trilogy to this Curtis saga. The ending gives clues that it will be. I just hope we don't have to wait another three years like we did for this one.

Keep up the good work Ms. Roby.

Summary: Off the Hook
Review: This book was great. I hated to put it down. Kimberla Lawson Roby didn't disappoint. I knew she wouldn't. I don't think Curtis Black will ever learn. I hope Kimbberla continues to give us more of this man.

Summary: A note on God's Grace
Review: God only forgives those who REPENT: Repentance requires sorrow for the sins committed and the resolution to at least try to not commit the same sins again. The mere mouthing of the words "God forgive me" don't work as a magic talisman to purchase entry into heaven. For God knows a man's heart...
