Rating: Summary: Derrick Belly Laughed Review: I visited a friend who has a four-year-old who had the book out on loan from the library. He was very excited for me to read this book to him. His mom told me that he wants her to read it every night inspite of the stack of 15 other books she also has on loan. It is a creative and very entertaining book.I've sent a copy to my grandson and am purchasing my own copy to read to my kindergarten class.
Rating: Summary: It made me so hungry! Review: I am 20 years old and still love Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. I can still remember it from when I was a child. The illustrations are wonderful, and it's a great story to build the imagination. A town that has food rained down on them? Who knew that it would create such a lasting effect. I love, love, love this book!
Rating: Summary: Childhood Memories Review: This is one book that I remember my mother reading to me before bed. I also remember her wanting me to choose something different! This book is a neat way for a child to learn about weather and food and it enables children to use a broad imagination.
Rating: Summary: Cloudy with a side of third grade Review: I first read this book in 3rd grade, It was my reading groups turn to be in th hallway, and the kid next to me was picking his nose. Our teacher thought it would be a nice break from our chapter books, before Spring Break. The pictures and story made us laugh so loud, the other teachers shut their doors. The story is even funnier if you don't look at the pictures and you just imagine it in your head (this can only be done when someone else reads it to you.)
Rating: Summary: A Silly, Entertaining Book -With Below Average Illustrations Review: I love the concept of the book - it is silly, fun, and entertaining. The story makes you look at normal everyday weather and life in general in a new way. The pen and ink drawings are well done, but the format is more like a comic book than an illustration with text. The text comes in boxes overlayed on the illustrations, which make it seem unplanned and can seem visually "busy." The book is long - not for under age 6.
Rating: Summary: i can't believe i found it! Review: however, i shouldn't be suprised. i remember this book as a little girl, reading it with my feet dangling of the sofa. this is a wonderful book that has the ability to be read by generations and generations of kids and kids-at-heart. the art work is terrific and the imagination can take you floating to this city on a slice of bread. a must read.
Rating: Summary: Chance of Meatballs, also as a chance to enlighten your mind Review: Very few books can touch an area of are selfs that this book can. It turns the hearts and minds of the old back into little kids. you see this book takes your mind and fills it with the wonding thoughts that we all had when we were children. Back when we all were wonding why the sky was blue and the grass was green. This story takes one part of life and totally chances it around and upsidedown. The idea of eating food from a Burger King or Applebee's is no more. instead are meals fall from the sky, the weather is no more filled with rain or snow but instead hamburgers and icecream. This book is a classic that will stay with the hearts of millions.

Rating: Summary: This is an awesome, great, cool and funny book. Review: Our favorite parts of the story are when a pancake fell on the school, when the syrup almost flooded the town, wben the pickle went through the house, when there was a tomato tornado, the guy in the tub during the tomato tornado, and there were noodles on the guy's head. We really love the way Judi Barrett wrote this story and we absolutely love Ron Barett's illustrations.
Rating: Summary: By far one of the greatest books ever written! Review: I can remember my sisters reading Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs to me when I was a small child. It was one of my favorite books then, and it still is now, even though I'm seventeen years old. It is a very cute book, with the kind of humor that kids like best! Don't pass up an opportunity to get this book!
