Summary: Not even worth one star!
Review: I have read most of Jude's work and generally love it. This story was so unbelievable: the characters were not very likeable, the gay angle was so stilted and contrived, and there was no real character development. Do not waste your time or money--unless anyone wants to buy my copy? Jude--go back to your medieval stories, please!

Summary: Silly Unbelievable plot
Review: This book makes no sense. If a man was interested in someone would he really ask his rich handsome older brother to stay with the woman? I'd say he'd take the offer of his brother's secretary immediately and keep the brother way away from her. A three year old has the patience and strength and talent to paint an entire room as well as depicted in this book? Come on!

Summary: "The Blessing" has made me a fan of Jude Deveraux forever.
Review: The main male character broke my heart because of the deep emotions attributed to him by Jude. Are there really males who feel this strongly or is it only fantasy? I hope not. The main female character seemed realistic 85% of the time.

Summary: SO WHAT if it's not her USUAL work...(I seemed to like it)
Review: I found this book to be a delightful, light-hearted romantic comedy. (People have made movies about situations like these.) Yet, I don't hear any complaints about them...(even in the book it states situations like on 'Pretty Woman'-one of the best movies of that year). Because Ms. Deveraux has written work that's been different; not less deserving or worthy; but different, it makes this book 'unenjoyable', 'unworthy' and for use of a better word, 'trash'. I beg to differ, it's quite enjoyable. A good book is one you can't predict nor put down - if it was sooo bad, then why did you bother reading past the halfway mark?!:o)

Review: JUDE!WHAT HAPPENED! You have written some pretty wonderful books (ie The Raider, The Princess) but this one was a stinker. The hero and heroine had about as much depth as a bag of potato chips, the man was to old, and the kid was a spoiled brat. Worst of all though was the notion that anyone could possibly be desperate enough for love that they would tell the heroine that their competitor(and brother mind you) is gay. Come on, I mean where did that come from. Next time Jude stick with the Historicals. You write some pretty awesome ones.

Review: I have read everyone of Jude Deveraux's books and this has turned into one of my top choices to re-read again and again. I am only 18, but Jude has always been my favorite author and a big part of my life!

Review: I find it supprising that so many people did not like this book I listened to the tape while driving on a long trip with friends. We could not wait to find out how the book ended. It kept us entertained . I have read many of her books and I like this one better then most.

Summary: A must read!
Review: I was never a fan of Jude Deveraux but I enjoyed reading this book immensely. I think it is certainly one of the best that I have read out of everything else that she has written. I didn't like her Montgomery series and etc. I thought those were too dry and too old fashioned, about helpless damsel in distress waiting for chauvnistic male to rescue them. It was too redundant. However, the Blessing is filled with humors, laughters, wonderful characters, and very realistic. I liked the fact that Amy is strong and independent and also that Jason isn't afraid to show his vulnerability. It made the characters real and relateable. I enjoyed this book very much. It was worth buying and definitely a keeper for me.

Review: This book will make you laugh out loud. The relationship between Amy and Jason has many twists. She's a sweetheart, and he's the man who learns that love can crack the toughest armour. A must read!

Review: For anyone who is a Devereaux fan - avoid this book! The storyline is weak, the characters have no depth and for the most part aren't even likeable. This is by far the worst book I've read in a long time.
