Rating: Summary: The Empty Chair: A Lincoln Rhyme Novel Review: I read this book in less then a week because I couldn't put it down. You have to read The Bone Collector and The Coffin Dancer before you read The Empty Chair. It has all sorts of twists and turns that you don't see coming. I can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: A must read Review: Jeffery Deaver is one of my favorite authors and the Empty Chair featuring Lincoln Rhyme was an excellent book that I could not put down I cannot wait for his next Rhyme novel. Anyone looking for a great suspense book must read this it is the best.
Rating: Summary: I'm growing weary Review: I am growing weary of the twists and turns which seem to be the basis for these books. very little suprise in this one. The biggest suprise is the title. Its not a bad read but I would wait for the paperback and read the book in an airport or on the beach. I hope this book is not a preview of a lack of effort in his future books.
Rating: Summary: Another winner for Jeffrey Deaver Review: Jeffrey Deaver never fails to deliver a suspenseful read whether it is Lincholn Rhymes and Amelisa Sachs or his other non-serial books like A Maiden's Grave. Empty Chair has plenty of twists and turns to satisfy the reader of mysteries! The author is to be commended in my view for the direct, tactful way in which he presents a disability. Lincoln Rhyme's personality overcomes what could be a maudlin and self-pitying view of a quadraplegic. Each of his Rhymes-Sachs novels gives a boost to "it's what is in side a person that counts" rather than the physical attributes. Plenty of action, suspense and twists and turns--and plenty of human interaction also!
Rating: Summary: Deaver Does It Again Review: Deaver does not disappoint his fans. Another roller coaster ride from this author...and just when you think the ride is over...the plot takes another uphill twist followed by a deep drop. Wait until you have an entire afternoon or evening free before starting this book....literally...you will not be able to put it down.
Rating: Summary: He did it again! Review: Deaver never ceases to amaze me. One would think that after so many great novels he would have a loser after a while......but not Jeffery...thank goodness! The Empty Chair was well written. It had numerous surprises and a lot of inuendos. The book absolutely cannot be "second guessed"! I enjoy a writer that doesn't insult my intelligence by writing in an elementary fashion. Deaver obvioulsy studies his subject matter very well and imparts the story with the skill of a craftsman! Thank you for making my reading enjoyable.
Rating: Summary: It was OK, but not shockingly amazing Review: If anyone is looking for a excellent novel about the study of forensic science type stuff, you must read anything by Patricia Cornwell. This novel was OK but Linclon's attitude paired up with the obvious way the clues and details appear to him, makes it a a bit sour. The chapters flow nicely and the dialogue keeps the story interesting but the story line is very obvious. Maybe if the writer had not given away the murderer so early on, the reader has a chance of falling in love with the characters and feeling bad when something happens to them. Everything is handed out in a platter here. Cornwell sometimes fails in catching her man (or woman) and she is never conceited about catching them. This was an interesting book, especially Sachs, but his other ones have been better.
Rating: Summary: A wonderful adventure Review: Hello everyone, This book has instantly become my favorite book of all time. It is very well written and I recomend it to readers of all ages. If you are not wise enough to read it you have failed a great task and you are soon to lose many friends as well. So, make the right choice and read this book. Have fun!
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Outstanding.....Please keep this series coming! Review: What a page turner! As the book starts out you get a funny feeling about some of the characters. Well, you are right, but keep reading. The characters unfold and the plot twists and then twists again, and you are left wondering just what is the truth and who can you believe. I love stories that keep up the action while throwing curves at you to keep you guessing until the very end. This is the third book in the Lincoln Rhyme series, and in my opinion, is the best to date.
Rating: Summary: On a Roll with Rhyme and Sachs Review: Another superbly scripted super suspense shocker. With unique, endearing and real main characters, each successive story enhances the Lincoln Rhyme mystique along with the special connection he has with Amelia. Things so simple and innocent turn into very important pieces of the puzzle. The setting is perfect for the plot. Twists and turns, with elusive answers to all your questions, make The Empty Chair another extraordinary Jeffrey Deaver novel. Start this one early in the day or you'll be losing a lot of sleep. More, Jeffrey, more! You're on a roll with Rhyme and Sachs.
