Summary: Nice theme, nice characters, not so great writing
Review: I thought this book was pretty good, but not the best it could have been. It had a great plot and interesting characters, but the writing was dull at some parts, and Wilma someimes seemed a little stupid. Overall, though, this was a pretty good book.

Summary: Intertaining,amusing,and funny
Review: This book is great for junior highers or anyone who has ever wanted to popular. It's kinda funny and a good read! Not nearly as good as Ella Echanted though.

Summary: Classic
Review: This book is anyone at any age would read. I'm 11 years old and I just finished reading this book for a school project. I already have a list of kinds that want to read the book when I am done. This is a book that i will keep reading over and over again. the author Gail H. Levine is so creative and makes you want to keep turning the pages. She makes her main character Wilma in a modern day sistuation. What girl or guy would want to be the most popular kid in there school? My sister is doesn't like to read very much, and she wants to read it. It is a Classic!

Summary: A dream come true.
Review: I thought that this book was very interesting. As always, Carson Levine wove a tale, that not only involved magic and wonder, but also peer pressure and things that normal kids deal with. The story was seamlessly told, with a flare for magic unlike other books. I don't suggest it for people under 10 at the youngest. I think that it is best for 11-year-olds and over. It has some teenage content, which makes it even ore believeable. "The Wish" was an enjoyable adventure into the mind of a middle-schooler, something very people even venture to try, let alone, create.

Summary: definitely not levine's best.
Review: Gail Carson Levine has done much better. That's all I'll say.

Summary: The Wish
Review: I've read THE WISH two times and every time I'veenjoyed, but I enjoyed it more the second time.

This book tells the story of a girl named Wilma, who is around my own age, who is trying to figure out why some people are popular and some people aren't. She's not one of the popular people in her school, that is, until she meets the old lady.

Wilma rides the subway home from school and one day she was stiiting down when an old lady got on the subway, so Wilma gave her seat up for the old lady.

The old lady said thank you and that she would grant Wilma one wish. So Wilma wishes to be popular. Then the next day, as soon as she walks in the door to her school, boom!, she's popular! Even the most popular girl in school likes her.

This was the best book I've ever read.

Summary: The Wish
Review: HI. I thought the book THE WISH was a great book!!! It was so exciting, and I never knew what was going to happen next!! It was very funny, too. I loved all the characters in the book. It was about a girl named Wilma who made a simple wish to an old lady. Her wish was to be the most popular girl in her school. The next day when she went to school, Wilma was definitly the most popular girl in her school. All the popular girls were friends with her, and were nice to her too. Later, Wilma realizes that her wish to the old lady was to be the most popular girl at her school but Wilma is in the 8th grade graduating in 2 weeks!! Will Wilma be popular for life, or only for 2 more weeks?? You have to read the book to find out!! I think you will definitly like it! I know I did!

Summary: The Wish
Review: The Wish by Gail Carson Levine is an awesome book. This book is about Wilma a very unpopular girl. When Wilma lets a little old lady take her seat, she doesn't think anything will happen. When the little old lady asks Wilma for her one wish Wilma over does and wishes to be the most popular girl at Claverford, her middle school. Two weeks before she graduates she realizes she only wished to be popular at Claverford. When she graduates she invites her friends over after the graduation. The wish ends while they are at Wilma's house. Immediately they all hated her. She tryed to talk them into liking her and they said they would try. I thought this book was very well written. I loved how it ended, but I wish Gail Carson Levine would make a second book so we could figure out how Wilma's life is going now. I recommend the books Ella Enchanted and Dave at Night also written by Gail Carson Levine. I think all of her peices are wonderful and well written. C.C.

Summary: REALLLLLLLY Good Book
Review: This was a really good book. I enjoyed it so much because I know that the girl, Wilma, shares a lot of the same feelings as many other girls. It was also extremely funny and interesting. When Wilma gives up her seat to an old woman, the old woman says that she can grant any wish for Wilma. I won't say much more, but if there were a morale to this story, I would say it is "be careful what you wish for". I recomended it to my cousin, and she really liked it also.

Summary: Suzan Creative Thoughts
Review: I thought this book was an excellant book about a tennage girl meeting an old lady on the bus. This old lady had no where to sit so the teenage girl named Wilma, offered to give her seat to the old lady. This old lady was no ordenary women; she was magical. She was so pleased in this polite thir-teen year old girl, she granted her a wish, any thing she wanted. After thinking through it, Wilma of course told the old lady she would like to be popular.
