Rating: Summary: Joint effort with Oprah Winfrey? Review: "One of the most important books I have ever read," is the quote on the cover (at the very top) by Oprah Winfrey. You Can Have It All is a powerful, thought-provoking book. Arnold M. Patent explains how we can have love, joy, inner peace, and unlimited abundance. The foreward is written by John Gray who has been on Oprah's tv show. Appears almost like a "who has been on Oprah joint effort," but that's okay. The material is heavy, and certainly isn't light reading, but highly entertaining. The only flaw is there is too much information, too much explaining that by the end of the book I actually applauded myself for finishing the book. I do recommend the book for anyone who wish to renew awareness with the Universe. Take your time. Enjoy.

Rating: Summary: I embrace this book! Review: "You Can Have It All" is not just another catchy title. This simple and inexpensive handbook holds the key to Peace and Abundance, and can change your life! Imagine, if everything you were ever told to believe in (or not believe in) was All Wrong! The Universal Principles have been ignored and discarded throughout the generations until the cliches that "Life is a struggle", "hard work is inevitable", and "You'll never amount to anything" become unnecessary truths. The author didn't write the Principles, but conveys them in a way that will make you wonder how you ever missed them before. With this book, Mr. Patent diminishes these myths with his simple explanations of 'how it was meant to be', Discovering Your Purpose, doing what You love, loving what you do, and using your inherent desires and abilities as your life's work. If you NEVER read another book, read this one first! I've been 'using' this book for over a decade, and it continues to work for me.. Thank You, Arnold!
Rating: Summary: This is the one! Review: An old yet new perspective on life, love and prosperity! Arnold reminds us of something that we know on a deep gut level, that the game we've been taught to play in our society is not in our best interest as feeling beings on a spiritual journey. His lessons strike chords that have laid dormant within all of us and allow us to rejoice in the music we can all allow our souls to play!
Rating: Summary: Written by someone who obviously walked the walk. Review: Arnold clearly speaks with the authority of one who has actually had to make these laws work in his own life. Unlike other new age authors, Patent encourages us to experimentally verify his assertions rather than just accept them "just because." Although written more like a reference at times than the typical "easy read in one setting," new age/self help book, the quality of the information more than makes up for it. And in my own case I find that I only need to refer back to certain chapters that pertain more to me. Good companions books to this one would be "Game of Life" by Shinn and "Seven Laws of Spiritual Success" by Chopra. Buy this one before you even dream of buying one of those "Simon-says-like," repetative, childish and overy simplistic Gary Zukov books.
Rating: Summary: A book of no substance Review: Arnold Patent's Book is a typical simplistic 'new age' treatise.' It is very preachy and blame oriented i.e if your life is a mess then it is your fault, you created it. The cornerstone of his philosophy is 'Integrity' but is really moralistic. Although it is very wordy and repetitive there is very little substance to the book. Has sold well over the years because of its title which is the hook, the promise of a supremely abundant life, which is another way of expressing greed at any cost. This fits nicely in the long tradition of 'Get rich quick schemes' by selling 'How to get rich' books. There are no short cuts in life.
Rating: Summary: You really can have it all Review: But only if you're willing to take total responsibility for the things that happen in your life. What Mr. Patent has done is simply extraordinary. He has shifted the blame from outside to inside. And once that is done, you are empowered. I have had this book for years now and I still find it as fresh and exciting and the first time. I've read and reread this book over the years. It is so simple it's scary. If you never buy another self-help book, buy this one. It's well worth the money and time. This is the original and the best.
Rating: Summary: There are much better authors and material than this Review: I have read a lot of other authors such as Emmett Fox, and Joseph Murphy and they are much better. Arnold's writing is deep, confusing and just kind of a take off of others before him. I wouldn't recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: A book with a profound impact! Review: In May of 2000, I had someone mention this book and how the author says we are all perfect, whole and complete just as we are. Wow! I knew I had to read this book and what a gift it has been in my life. I also bought the tape and as I walked every day I would listen to it over and over. I was so amazed to become aware that I was responsible for everything that happened in my life...that I am first cause. At the time, I was estranged from my two children and this book helped me to find the way back to them by taking responsibility for me and my actions....to give them unconditional love and to be there to support them in their choices. I also credit this book with giving me the tools to forgive my ex-husband at the core level after eleven years and to release him from any further responsibility for me. I only want from others what is freely given with love. This book helped me to see that everyone I attract into my life is there to support me in reclaiming my power within myself. There are so many other things I could share, but just know that this little book has helped me in my life more than any other book I've read. I was so ready to hear what Arnold had to say and I am so grateful to him for sharing so well and so simply what he has learned.
