Review: This book is divided into short chapters focusing on one area of and issues in a man's life, such as fatherhood, pride, emotions, health, etc. Stormie Omartian uses examples from her own life to help break each issue down. At the end of each chapter is a prayer and several applicable verses.I enjoyed using this book as part of my daily devotional period. The issues are concisely discussed, and the prayers are helpful and well written. I've used this book as a springboard for thought, discussion and of course, prayer. If you're looking for something very deep and indepth on a particular issue, this isn't the purpose of the book. You will probably also find that not all of the issues apply to your husband. But this book does make you examine your husbands life, as well as aspects of your own life. It will make you think. It has helped me change some of my thoughts and my prayers. It is definitely a great place to start if you're trying to grow your prayer life for your husband.

Summary: The Power Of A Praying Wife
Review: This book has been more than effective for my almost three year marraige. The beggining, of the book, made me do a self examination, after that, I haven't been able to go a day without reading and having devotion, sometimes with my prayer partner and some times alone! Thanks so much, Stormie for allowing me and my friends to come into you and your friends lives! Wonderful! Excellent! If I would've purchased, this book prior to getting married, I would be a much better wife. I recommend this book to women who are considering getting married! Our couple's ministry is considering this book and The power of a praying husband as our study guide.

Summary: Well written from experience
Review: I did not give this book the highest ratings, though it was written well from Stormy's point of view. Her years as an angry wife behind her, this authr writes as one who has endured and won the endearing love of her husband and life is smooth now. She talks about her tears and personnal life and hardships. Her advice is, of course, to hang in there. I only disagreed with her sexual advice to all woman to say YES, no matter how they are feeling or what is going on. Describing the male need and to totally overlooking the woman. This is old world thinking and I would only say that honesty should prevail in a Christian home. Other things I may disagree with, but at least this author speaks from her heart and her ideas seemed to work for her. Many serious depressions can result from Stormy's prescription, but who can tell which is the best course. I believe prayer and the Spirits guidance can still lead .. and prayer is the Rx.

Review: This book is great. I advise every married woman to get this book, whether your having major problems or not. All women need to pray for their husbands and their children. There will be storms in your life and we need prayer to rebuke anything that is unlike GOD. This book talks about issues in your husbands life that are already there and some that he may encounter. This book provides stories, prayers and then verses from the BIBLE. It is a powerful tool. Be Encouraged and get this book. ONE LOVE.

Summary: At the end of our rope
Review: The Power of a Praying Wife was a God sent just at the right time in my life. I have spent time in prayer praying for our marriage and it seemed to not be working. Then I came across this book and it was a blessing. I had been praying all wrong. I have a habit of underlining things that were usefull in my books, it turned out that most of the book is underlined. It was a very good book for those that are at the end of your rope. I know I was with my husband. But thanks to God showing me this book, I can work on my marriage and also my prayer life.

Summary: Pick of the year!!!
Review: Thank GOD for Stormie and her experieneces that led her to write this helpful book. I have prayed these prayers listed in the book and have seen dramatic changes in my marriage for the best. Easy read and well written. This book gave me explanations to some of the questions that arose in my then challenging marriage. I recommend that anyone who is down to their last hope of salvaging their marriage, read this book. It will change you, and you will change your marriage. Keep it coming Stormie.

Summary: Useful for women in struggling marriages
Review: My marriage is relatively strong and healthy, but I bought this book because I had heard good things about it. I ended up not finishing it because many of the prayers and struggles didn't relate to my own life. One thing I did appreciate, though, in the introduction, was Stormie's emphasis on our need as Christian wives to deal with our own heart attitudes toward our husbands. I'd recommend the book particularly to women who have non-Christian husbands or who are in difficult marriages.

Review: This book is a wonderful guide for wives. It emphasizes the key role wives play as helpmeets and shows our power through prayer. It is a book based on the Word and that's a great book to have!!
