Rating: Summary: Humorous Review: This book was so funny. My favorite chapter in this story was "MUSH"! I loved this chapter the best part was when Ron ordered the mushroom surprise and when he ate it he kissed DeDe. The thing I would change in this story was in chapter 15 "She's Back" I would really make Ms.Gorf appear in the classroom, the kids could see hear but the teacher Mrs.Jewels couldn't.
Rating: Summary: Teaches kids lessons Review: If you don't pay attention to your kids, they might run away and join some strange sect... at least that's what Alison does when she becomes invisible. This is just one of the lessons that this book teaches. I read it some three or four years ago, but I have its prequel, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, which also has quite a few morals. It shows kids why prejudice is absurd (The Three Erics), or how it can prove itself right (Kathy), or how people pay attention to little things and overlook the big ones (Myron), or how some kids get everything, and everyone finds that natural (Sharie), or how school teaches some unnecessary things and wants to make kids think a certain way (Joe). My favorite part in this book is about the basement. The three people who live there are the Authority that doesn't really exist but that every kid has imagined ruling his life. When Myron goes down to them, he gets a choice: "Do you want to be safe, or do you want to be free?" Myron chooses freedom, and that's what he gets: from his basement visit on, he isn't required to do anything. But those men also appeared in the previous book, asking Jenny official-sounding questions. This book is pretty funny, but you won't really laugh out loud. And if you're already in high school, you can read it again and be surprised at what the author meant.
Rating: Summary: Totally funny! Review: I highly recommend this book ... great! If you don't like it you don't know what a real book is. It is a totally funny book! If you like action you should read the last chapter.
Rating: Summary: It's more weird Wayside School. Review: This is the worst book i"ve ever read. I recommend it to everyone I dislike. If you read this book you must have brain damage (I know I do.)
Rating: Summary: It was so fantasic! It made my funny bone tickle! Review: The book had so many weird and unique features about this 30 story school! At one part the chapter was backwards! Louis, the author, did so many unexepected things that you'd never find in any other book! He must of been a kid once also! He used most of the phrases we kids use today! He made the students seem so realistic and alive! I was laughing all through the book! It was so interesting that I finished the whole book in one day! If you like comedy, BUY THIS BOOK! I repeat, *BUY THIS BOOK!*
Rating: Summary: Wayside School is Falling Down Review: I read a book called Wayside School is Falling Down. I thought it was very humorous because Louis the author is in the book and he thinks the students at the school are very strange. On the otherhand, when Louis told the students about us, they thought we were strange. If you want to read a strange book about children who go to school which was built sideways, you will love this book.
Rating: Summary: A very good story by the author of Wayside School! Review: This is a great story about more sideway stories from Wayside School! In one of the chapters, the school burns,
falls, and gets full of cows! DON'T ASK! After reading the firsdt book, you will love this one.
And don't forget to pick up a copy of the third
book,Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger!
Louis Sachar is great at making children laugh
with his 3 book collection and you can get them for less than
5 dollars a book!
Rating: Summary: AMAZING... Review: AMAZING! AWSOME! COOL! WICKED! THE BEST! READ IT! FUNNY! READ IT
Rating: Summary: I love it!! Review: "Wayside School Is Falling Down" was given to me by my Aunt to encourage me to read. So I read it and loved it!
It was like I was reliving grade school only in a very farout and off the wall way! I sence then read the book 6 or 7 times and once i start I can't put it down! My favorite chapter is 15 when Deedee thought that she saw Mrs Gorf by the monkey bars where she always plays. Then Louis the yard teacher had flash backs of his 5th grade teacher? any ways it gos on and finally Louis conviences her that shes not there and theres a sudden twist in the last sentince but I wouldent want to give the
end away now would i! I love this book and would recomend it to any one wanting to relive childhood (even adults) The book I have is now 6 years old and getting to look it. I hope to get another and keep my childhood alive
Rating: Summary: A funny book! Review: This is a very funny book. There's lots of riddles. I think you should read this book because you'd laugh alot (Joie Converse age 8
