Summary: Entertaining
Review: I just finished reading this book...it took me 3 days or so. The Shopaholic books are quite funny and good if you are in the mood for an interesting plot (not quite dynamic) and some wit. In this book, Becky Bloomwood is up to her old ways again, even after she vowed to change. Nope, she goes to NY and shops away while her boyfriend Luke is off on meetings all day. Becky's troubles once again bite her in the butt, but the ending ties it all in. However, I got very annoyed with Becky's personality. Not only did she just find shopping and material items so desirable...it became quite pathetic...but she turned into a huge liar. Even after her debts start creeping up again, she still lied so much. I wanted to tell her to grow up a little. I suggest reading this book, its entertaining and flows very well.

Summary: funny, but it never ended...
Review: I loved the story...only problem is, when does it stop?? Becky Bloomwood keeps getting herself deeper and deeper into the most unusual situations. You'd think she learned from her previous situations.
Regardless, we'll always love her.

Summary: boring
Review: Is there anything more tedious than tagging along on someone else's shopping spree? That's about as much fun as this book is.

The bimbo main character really got on my nerves. And for her "successful business man" boyfriend - he's straight out of some silly commercial.

If you want fun chick lit, read Marian Keyes, India Knight or Helen Fielding instead! They've got brains as well as funny traumas.

Summary: Predictable, entertaining fluff
Review: This book is cute but entirely predictable. It's refreshing to see the city through the eyes of a visitor, especially a shopaholic, but Becky Bloomwood's inability to control herself gets tiresome.

She really does seem to be addicted to shopping and I suspect that she will revert back to her old ways even though she gets into trouble. There are programs available that can really help people who suffer from addiction, whether it's drugs/alcohol, gambling, or shopping addiction. She could probably benefit from something like that.

I felt like the author was painting the shopping obsession as a joke, just one of Becky's personality quirks. But really, there must be a reason she wants to shop so much, so often, and when she can't afford it. I think the book could have explored that some more, perhaps, for instance, adding some detail about Becky's insecurity about her intelligence, personality, body, finances or whatever.

Summary: Better than the first
Review: This book was excellent! I couldn't put it down. I didn't think it could be better than the first one but it topped it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent book! A must have for "Becky Bloomwood" fans.
Review: This is another comic look at Becky Bloomwood's adventures, this time in Manhattan. If you loved "Shopaholic", then you will love this sequel. Becky literally goes crazy with her shopping habits in New York (Shopping Central for all shophaholics!) Although I did enjoy "Shopaholic" better than the sequel, I would still recommend the sequel.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Becky's in need of a 12 step program!
Review: Okay, I know this is a "fun" book, the humour is tongue-in-cheek and over the top, and I indeed did laugh out loud in several places. However, I often felt that I was reading through a psychaitrist's case study, I mean this girl is in need of some serious intervention. When I read "Confessions of a Shopaholic", I thought Becky was in need of some professional help then, now the poor thing seems downright certifiable. While Becky's antics are fun to read about, they must be done in conjunction with a total dispensation of belief. A life lived like hers would be anything but funny! That said, this is a very quick, cute little book that you can polish off in a couple hours. I know the next in the series pertains to Becky's marraige, I can only imagine "A Shopaholic Does Therapy" can't be far behind.

Summary: A Great Sequel
Review: In this sequel to the novel, "The Confessions of a Shopaholic," Becky Bloomwood is now a personal finance specialist and she has her own TV show. She still cannot stop shopping even though she still cannot afford anything. She asks her flat mate, Suze, to monitor what she spends, but even this does not keep her from sneaking into little boutiques and spend the little money that she has. Becky now ha a boyfriend, named Luke, who runs a financial PR agency. When Luke decides to New York and open an office there, he invites Becky to join him. She is quickly drawn to the many designer shops in New York. When news of her excessive shopping gets back to the British press it causes her to lose her job and also her relationship with Luke. Everything ends up working out for her. Through out this entire book you never stop laughing. It is a great book to read and I recommend it to every girl that loves to shop!

Summary: Not as good as the first one
Review: After reading the first "Shopaholic" book, I quickly picked up the this one. Although it provided entertainment on an otherwise boring flight, the book failed to meet my expectations. Was I reading the same story rewritten? Is there to be no character development in the series? I enjoy fluff as well as the next person, but there has to be some creative imput. Suze, Becky's best friend, seems to have been replaced by someone unfamiliar. Try borrowing from a friend or the library.

Summary: GREAT READ! LOVED IT!
