Rating: Summary: Great book! Fast read! Review: Great sequel, with an even better cast of characters. Better storyline than the first one. Took me less than a week to finish -- really fast read!! Can't read this one without reading the original Shopaholic book, but if you loved the first one, you'll love this one, too.
Rating: Summary: fluff, but good fluff. Review: I didn't care for the first book in this series Confessions of a Shopaholic--I thought that Becky was annoyingly flighty and there was way too much mention of branding, with little story. But, in my addiction to fluffy chick lit, I saw this book and thought I would give it a chance. I half-expected that it would be like the first and I would find myself disappointed. But...I was wrong. Funny and enjoyable from cover to cover, this book has just the right amount of gloss and fluff and STORY. Would make a perfect beach read. Bravo.

Rating: Summary: Helen Fielding, she's not Review: Blatant rip-off of Bridget Jones....'nuff said!
Rating: Summary: Wow...something different Review: This is a very LIGHT read! But it is a very relaxing one that makes you smile while you go on the journey with the heroine and see what kind of things she buys, and how she gets out of the bill troubles :)
Rating: Summary: Endearing Review: In heroine Becky Bloomwood, author Sophie Kinsella has created one of the most endearing fictional characters written in the past decade. I'm probably too old for this charming series, and I seem to be reading the books in backwards order, yet I have enjoyed every adventure. It is rare to see an author inhabit a character so fully. The SHOPAHOLIC series to date--CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC, SHOPAHOLIC TAKES MANHATTAN and SHOPAHOLIC TIES THE KNOT--is far and away the best of the British chick lit novels, easily surpassing a competing heroine named Bridget Jones. Read these books! You'll laugh, you'll cheer, you'll delight in Becky and her delightfully skewed view of the world.

Rating: Summary: Entertaining Chick Lit Review: The shopaholic series was my early introduction to Chick Lit read. It's entertaining, light and funny! If you have the shopaholic gene like me, you could deffinitely relate to Becky's habbit for retail theraphy. It's amusing to read how she tries to justify her purchases as investments, and her struggle to be frugal. It is as if like there is an angel and a devil on each side of her shoulder who tells her different things when she goes out shopping. The setting of this book is in New York, Becky and Luke's relationship have grown more serious since the first book. Becky feels like she is on top of the world, she has new job with better pay to finance her shopping habbit, a boyfriend who loves her AND he wants her to go to New York with him!! In New York, Becky faces new shopping temptations. She constantly juggles with her decision from the Prada sample sale, Vera Wang gowns, Sephora to Gugenheim museum. It's New York for goodness sakes! Becky is like a kid in Disneyland. Being in New York brings new challenges to Becky and Luke's relationship. Can she and Luke survive in New York? Luke is constantly working trying to win his mother's heart. Becky meets Luke's mother and tries to gain her approval. And then there's that shopping addiction....then the credit card with only a certain limit. Can Becky triumph again? This book is a must read for fellow shopaholics! you will laugh out loud, emphatize with Becky and be delighted with her purchases, and cheer for her as her character matures!
Rating: Summary: I read Chinese translation version Review: It's funny and entertaining! I might consider to buy English version for it seem not hard to read and won't take me a lot of time to check dictionay. Not only shopaholic would be involved credit card crisis! There are variety liars or scumbag steal your money, like some false model angency persuade you take your card to pay a lot of money for model cards & photo then you have great pay to earn from commercials. It's cheating and many Taiwan girls were in trap got a bad feeling about it! Useless trash photo. At least what Becky Bloomwood bought, finally became an investment.
