Rating: Summary: I didn't plan to love it, but... Review: It starts out laughably absurd--a seventeen year old with a buckeye tree secretly lives in a Wal-Mart store. My first thought was, "Are you kidding? With their security system?" But the characters are so appealing, it's hard to put this book down.
Rating: Summary: A great story about life in the midwest...... Review: This is an awesome book! Being from Oklahoma, I could relate...this was really well written-I like books that have quality writing. An old cliche-I couldn't put it down!
Rating: Summary: HEART WARMING! Review: Talk about a good book. Where the Heart is was great! I could not put the book down. I felt like I was right there with Novalee watching over her. I'm proud of the Billie Letts for making Novalee a strong young woman who makes it on her own. Finds her own friends in a town she was left behind in. It proves that us women don't need men, especially those who are selfish. I loved the story and I didn't want it to end. Keep it going Billie!
Rating: Summary: It was one of the best books I have read in some time. Review: All the characters in this book were interesting. It gave me a good feeling to read this book, they were caring people who looked out for others.
Rating: Summary: I thoroughly enjoyed Where the Heart Is. Review: I loved the main character, Novalee and enjoyed reading her story. All of the characters were interesting. What a sweet story...funny and sad. I am now reading her latest book "The Honk and Holler Opening Soon".
Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Full of love and hope. Review: I literally could not put this book down. I read until 3am to finish it
Rating: Summary: Where The Heart Is Hits Close To Home Review: Having grown up near where this book takes place, I can (unfortunately) relate to many of the characters in the novel. Letts knows her subject well. Though sad and funny at the same time, Letts allows her readers to feel compassion for characters that would otherwise seem pathetic. This is a great summer book, and I would recommend it to any tender hearted reader.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book, kept me captivated from cover to cover. Review: This book was written in such a way that I wanted to keep on reading. The author has a way of bringing to life the characters and surroundings. Would recommend this book to anyone and everyone!
Rating: Summary: always keeping you on your toes, kept you glued to the book Review: I don't read many books because I tend to loose interest in them too quickly, but I loved the book, you could relate to Novelee. The author kept her readers wanting to know what's going to happen next. This book was totally awesome!
Rating: Summary: A book you won't be able to put down. Review: This book is very well written. A really nice story. I will be looking for future books from Billie Letts.
