Summary: Good things come to good people!
Review: What a wonderful story. The success of the human spirit. And what a charming commentary and the affection of a small town toward an outsider. We all need a place to call home, don't we?

Summary: Not what I thought
Review: The story was pretty good at first, but after I was done with half of it I had to force my self to read the rest. It was so unrealistic and had a child molesting part that I didn't like. It wasn't worth my time. I'm sorry that I got it. It disturbed me.

Summary: Where your eyes belong ----> this book!
Review: At first, I thought this book was going to be an irksome book. But as the book started, it really changed my perspective... The author made the characters real, and tantalizing! A great heartwarming book!

Summary: A one day reader!!
Review: I throughly enjoyed this easy reader. I spent an afternoon reading it. I passed it on to my mother who continued to pass it on to family and friends until the book fell apart. I enjoyed this more than The Honk and Holler Cafe.

Summary: This was a wonderful heart warming tale about love and life.
Review: I loved this book. I thought it was nice to read a book about wonderful people doing great things. This book was very uplifting. The characters became like a family to me while I was reading the book. They showed the heart warming side of society, in a time where most people in the world are concerned about themsleves. It is nice to know that there are places, where people will put aside their own comforts to help those in need. This book provides a wonderful opportunity for every one, to stop and check "where their heart is".

Summary: It's about time Oprah got it right!
Review:

To me, Oprah missed the boat with "Heaven on Earth," "She's Come Undone," "The Story of Ruth," and "Deep End of the Ocean." I read them all and found each one lacking.

"Where The Heart Is," however hits on all levels. I come from a town too small for a Wal-Mart, but my neighbors are the kind that would take in a 17 year-old, 7-month pregnant girl like Novalee.

I love Novalee's resourcefullness and her "never say die" attitude. Her strange array of friends were delightful.

The only thing that struck me odd was how long it took Novalee to find true love. For someone as needy as she was, she sure was blind...love was right under her nose all the time.

This is a book I will read again. I don't say that often or lightly.

Enjoy!

Summary: A Wonderful Read about Characters who are REAL
Review: This is an enjoyable novel---as entertaining and well written as Barbara Kingsolver's fiction. Letts' personal experiences in Oklahoma bring life to the characters, and the realism and charm of the story captured me. I don't buy many books; this one proved worth the investment. It was too good not to pass on to a friend. What a great antidote to the slick personalities we get thru the media in America; Novalee is genuine, and her friendships and struggles are, too.
