Summary: in a word?..............fantastic!
Review: I have read and re-read this book. anyone looking for just a plain good story, this is a must read. for anyone who has seen spitfire grill (the movie) knows what i mean when i say HEARTWARMING.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unbeatable
Review: This would easily become one of my favorites, even better, I think than I Know This Much Is True (though that one is very good already). The simplicity of the story in Where The Heart Is is startling in its own very unique sense of traditional touch. A very blatant portrayal of homely love, care, and the complete change of a man thought to be a heartless man in the beginning of the story. Mixed with short suspenses and very smooth flow of thought, a must read for all, and I guarantee an unregrettable one too. Where the heart is? It must be in this book and Billie Letts. Ps: I bought the autographed version of this book.

Summary: An realistically true story that's hard to put down.
Review: Where the Heart Is is a book that you will not be able to put down. I find it hard to sit down and read a book for a long period of time. Usually I get distracted or I get bored of the book. With this book though, i never found a dull moment. This was a very well written novel by Billie Letts. It is a realistically true story about a pregnant seventeen-year old girl and her struggle against everyday life challenges and much more. She was heading to California with her boyfriend, when they stopped at a Wal-Mart to buy her some new shoes and a small snack. she went inside and when she came back out he was gone. He had ditched her at a Wal-Mart with exactly seven dollars and seventy-seven cents. Just her luck, seven is her unlucky number. Although at the moment she feels very unlucky, three people that she'll meet in the next hour will change her life forever. A photographer, an old, blue haired woman, and a little Indian boy, who gives her a Buckeye tree for good luck, are these three people. They will show her the many values of life, the truth of God, and what Love is really about. So what will happen to this jobless girl who is secretly living in a Wal-Mart? Read Where the Heart Is to find out what happens to Novalle and her baby. Beleive me you won't be sorry you did! This was a warm and captivating story that will leave you thinking about life and its miraculous ways of working. I highly recommend this book for teenagers and adults.
