Summary: Letts truly knows 'Where the Heart Is!'
Review: I must say, I haven't read to many real life books like this one. Of course, I've never imagined living in Wal-Mart and having a baby there either. But, that's what's so intriguing about this book.Novalee Nation is the type of person you fall in love with immediately, despite her faults. Her boyfriend is the type you hate from the start. As the book went on, my feelings continued in the same way. If you enjoyed this book, I highly reccomend Letts' Honk and Holler Opening Soon. This book is also set in Oklahoma, and is equally great!

Review: I had to read this book for my Novel class at college. I thought it was one of the best books I have ever read. It is one of those books that once you start reading you can't put it down until you have finished reading it.

Review: I loved this book. It took me about three hours to read! It makes me see Wal-mart in a whole new light. You wonder if someone really lives there, in the back, where no one sees. It was a wonderful read!

Summary: Heart Warming
Review: Dear peer readers, I have had this novel sitting around in my room for almost a year now and I finally got the chance to read it. I thought it would be a good book to do my English ISU on. While I read deeper and deeper into the novel I felt as though I was actually part of the novel. It was very open and heart warming. For me to be a 16 year old in Canada today, it was nice to read a novel that my friends and I could relate to. Although I'm not quite done the novel yet, I look forward to the ending and further novels put on Oprah's Book Club.

Summary: I just wish the book was longer
Review: I completely enjoyed this book and found it hard to put down. The characters were wonderful and warm. As soon as her other book came out, The Honk and Holler Opening Soon, I purchased it and found it just as wonderful. I can't wait for her next book to be published.

Review: I think that it was one of the best books that I have ever read. It kept me interested in what was going to happen next, that I did not want to put the book down. I think that it is a great book for all women to read. It is hard for me to find a book that compares to this book. I have not found one that I have liked better than it yet. It does not take very long to get the book through because it goes by very fast. I would recommend it to any of my friends. I really like love stories a lot. It was not that much of a love story, but it had a lot of kindness and affection towards each other in a little town. I liked the way that they made everyone fell at home in the little town. I think that it is worth the while to read this book.

Summary: Plot development?
Review: The other reviewers are right: this book was entertaining. But it had no plot development and just plain no plot - unless you count people who are mean to Novalee getting their just deserts as a plot. It was just an entertaining ramble, no beginning, middle or end, pointless. Like having marshmallows for dinner.

Review: My cousin was reading this over the summer and I stole it from her. I refused to give it back until I finished. Billy Letts forced my to not stop reading this book. I was up til 4 am reading it. It really makes you think about things in different light. And the 7's thing. I loved that. $7.77. How genius!
