Summary: Where the Heart is
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book, I could'nt put this book down. Novalee Nation being left at Wal-Mart 17 years old, seven months pregnant and with only 10 dollars survived. I really admire her courage I dont know if I could have done that. Billie Letts sure does have a good way of showing the way others loved her, like a stranger letting a single mother into her home and taking care of her. IF you like heartwarming and funny books I suggest that you read this book!

Summary: Fun, eccentric, and full of love. You will laugh and cry
Review: This is a well spun story of love, eccentric characters and the generosity of humanity. It is a most enjoyable book, you will look forward to curling up with it and learning more about what is happening with Novalee and the her amazing friends.

Summary: Heartwarming and uplifting
Review: I enjoyed this book, although it was not as thought provoking as some of Oprah's other pick's. This was a book not for deep thought but it made me feel better about the world. Yes there are many real life events in the story that are sad but this book is about one woman and her drive to live and be happy. I think most of us can find some good in this book.

Summary: Where the Heart Is
Review: This is a book about a pregnant 17 year old girl who has been left behind by everyone in her family. She runs away with her boyfriend who ends up leaving her with no one to call and no where to go at Wal-Mart. This book was great! It shows the hardships for pregnant teenagers. It really touches your heart. In the end everything can get better.

Summary: Read "Where the Heart Is"
Review: "Where the Heart Is" grabbed my attention in the first few pages, and I couldn't put it down. It is both heartwarming and funny. Billie Letts does a fabulous job developing the characters in this book, and I shared their experiences as if they were my own. Novalee Nation takes you on a journey to the heart of Oklahoma, and there she becomes apart of a community and finally finds a place she can call home. You will come away from this novel feeling as if you are apart of the community in Sequoyah, Oklahoma. This is an amazing book, if you haven't read it I urge you to!

Summary: A Heartwarming Story
Review: I cannot describe how much I loved this book. Reading the back of the book brought me to tears, and I had to pick it up and read it. It is so easy to get into. I couldn't put it down. I was thrilled to see the previews for the new movie version the other night! It looks incredible. Now, I just have to get the book back from my mom because I have an overwhelming desire to read it again!

Summary: Heartwarming
Review: Billie Letts has a way of making her characters come alive and have depth. I loved this book. I did not want to ever reach the end of the book. I found myself becoming good friends with Novalee and her family of friends. I know I will be picking the book up again for another wonderful trip to Sequoyah, Oklahoma.

Summary: Compelling
Review: Letts did an excellent job with all the characters in the book. Each one grabs you very quickly and you really get attached to them all. I found the book impossible to put down.... as a matter of fact, after taking a break after the first hour of reading to go out to dinner with our family, when I returned I did not stop until I finished the book (something I NEVER do). I am going to check out "The Honk and Holler Opening Soon" by the same author next.

Summary: A Truly Remarkable Story
Review: I love the story from the start. It was a very heartwarming story of how a girl grown up into a woman, and learn to value home, friendship, hope, and of course love. Not to mention a great line of characters surrounding her. And sets right in the middle of US... what a wonderful place to be. Keep writing books like this, Ms. Letts.

Summary: This book made me happy, dammit!
Review: I loved this book and I happen to think it was written very well. Personally, I'm tired of all these depressing yet "very real" books. If I read "real" books all the time, reading wouldn't be enjoyable. To me reading is a means of escapism, and let me tell you, this book allowed me to revel in it!
