Summary: This book is now one of my favourites
Review: I absolutly loved this book. When I saw a preview for the movie on t.v. it really caught my attention, so I read the book. Everyone in the book was so loveable. I just can't think of a new word to express how good this book was. You just have to take my word for it and read it! ( I'm going to see the movie next week, I'm so excited!) Five stars - grab the book before it's sold out!

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I couldn't put this book down. It was as heartwarming as Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe and American Pie. This is a perfect choice for all you Fannie Flagg and Micheal Lee West fans!

Summary: Really really good book
Review: This book was so good, I am not a big reader but this book was reccomended to me and I just loved it. I gave it to some of my friends to read and they loved it too@ I can't wait to see the movie.

Summary: Uplifting!
Review: This novel is definitely one of the best I've read in a long time. If you are into novels that leave you with hope, this is a must read! Billie Letts shows that there is hope, afterall, that can come out of a bad situation. She gives hope to those that are troubled and think that they are at their wits end. And, for those people who find it in their hearts to give a helping hand to those in need, the novel shows that our hard work and big heart can pay off. Buy this book!

Summary: Wouldn,t Recommend It
Review: This book feels like fiction.Novalee is the most unreal of any of the characters. The plot moves along without me caring about her, because she continues to sound like a paper figure. The other characters are better drawn. Also I'm offended by the child rape scene. Why does Ophra often pick books with horrible things happening in them? Skip this book and don't look forward to the movie.

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: This book stunk. I didn't care about the characters at all. I didn't care what happened and couldn't finish it because it was so boring. I wouldn't bother with the book, maybe the movie will be better...

Summary: BRAVO! BRAVO!
Review: Billie Letts really gives a touch of reality. I wonder if I could have ever lived such a life. With such amazing people, too. I really enjoyed reading this book.

Summary: The best of the Oprah picks
Review: I love reading books that I can get lost in, and this was one of the best! When I came to the last page, I was sad, as if I were losing a friend. This is an excellent and unusual story! From reading the previews, the girl living in Wal-Mart is what lured me in, but her will and courage kept me interested.

Summary: Can't wait to see the movie!
Review: I received a recommendation on this book from a friend of mine who's read it 5 times. I finally gave in, and after reading a single page I was hooked. The characters are so believable; I found myself so drawn into the book and finished it in two days... I recommend this book to absolutely everyone.

Summary: The resiliency of the human spirit
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. Why? Because it is a testament to the resiliency of the human spirit. The main character, Novalee Nation, is dumped by her boyfriend in small-town Oklahoma on their way across country. Most people would drown in their own misery. Somehow though, this very ordinary character survived. Not only did she survive, but she grew as a person. The eccentric people she met and established ties with became her family. The sense of community was awesome. It made me feel good. Outstanding writing and an enjoyable read.
