Rating: Summary: Wall Street trading strategies that make sense Review: If you are interested in making money in the stock market, this book is a must read! Wade writes in a very simple, straight-forward manner about strategies which can make money in the stock market. I felt a genuine piece of Wade Cook's philosophies about life, family, and helping others was part of this book. His words encouraged me to give it a try
Rating: Summary: 11 Top Money Making Strategies-Anyone Can Master Review: This is one of those books that comes along once every twenty years!! Like a bolt of lightening, putting this book down once you've opened it, will be impossible! Wade's money making concepts are tried and true, and he prove's it! I was so captivated by the book's honesty, simplicity, and no-nonsense approach to investing that I actually began to employ several of his methods once I completed the book, and to my surprise I was able to make money writing covered calls!! I was also able to use his rolling stock method quite successfully. You absolutely owe it to youself to read this incredible book....Oh did I mention that I'll be attending his Wall Street Workshop in Los Angeles next week
Rating: Summary: If you're investing, you have to read this first! Review: Very well written. Not boring at all. One can easily understand most of the text the first time through without having any experience with the stock market.
Very worth the price. It will pay for itself endlessly!
Wade Cook breaks it down into simple, bite size pieces
Rating: Summary: WADE COOK: MAN, MYTH OR CROOK??? Review: I bought and have read WALL STREET MONEY MACHINE and I believe that Wade Cook has put together some very powerful "cash flow" strategies. To wit, my portfolio has been enhanced substantially. In reading the reviews, it would seem as though people ether love him or hate him. I fall smack inbetween. As I said. the strategies in Wall Street Money Machine have made money for me and others. On the other hand, some have lost money with the same strategies. How? When you invest in individual stocks, commodities and particularly-options, you are speculating, not investing. There are no guarantees that the stock will not go down. We all know that stocks go UP and they go DOWN! The key word is timing. It doesn't matter if you listen to WADE COOK, WARREN BUFFET, PETER LYNCH or whomever. You can lose money. Nobody has a magic bullet. When you invest in stocks, it should be, as it is for me, Atlantic City, Horse Race, funny money. In other words....money t! hat I can afford to lose. And I don't call it investing. I call it speculating because that's what it really is! Ask the people who have stock in Levitz Furniture how they feel about their "investment" A once "SUPERSTOCK" stopped trading at .25 cents. I highly recommend WALL STREET MONEY MACHINE and believe it's the best of the Wade Cook series. Just don't get caught up in the "hype" and the allure of the "quick buck". My major gripe against Wade Cook is that even though he cautions readers that the stock market is risky he also makes it look very, very enticing. And now we have other bootleggers jumping on the bandwagon--- Anthony Robbins has launched "WEALTH MASTERY" and "FINANCIAL POWER" in reality just generic Wade Cook material> The only way to make investments that offer the potential of stock market investing without risk is MUTUAL FUNDS! Blue Chip Stocks may be another, but commissions eat! up profits and there is still an inherent risk that you co! uld lose all of your money. No-Load Mutual Funds are the way to go for powerful, inexpensive and safe investment returns. Suggestion: Use Wade Cook's Cash Flow Strategies to build a portfolio of mutual funds. I know mutual funds may not be as alluring as Wall Street Speculating---I know a stock that went up 129% in one day and people who made $12,900 in one day playing that stock. But I also know people who have lost all of there principal and in some cases, it was money that they couldn't afford to lose! So is Wade Cook a Man, Myth or a Crook? In my opinion he has found a way to turn the stock market into a cash flow machine. Obviously it works. Otherwise, we would't have all of the copycats out there would we?
Rating: Summary: Still working for me 7 years later Review: I bought Wall Street Money Machine back in late 1996/early 1997. My first thoughts were that this sounded too good to be true. But I followed Wade's advice and practiced a few paper trades and followed the market carefully. Made money on every trade! So decided to use real money and again made money on every trade! I'm still following the techniques and continue to make some dramatic gains. Sure beats taking my brokers advice.
Rating: Summary: Often imitated, never duplicated! Review: I am amused as is Mr. Rogers regarding that sole 1 star reviewer and why he would continue to bash this book just because it is still in the top 4,000. I mean this book has been replaced by Wall Street Money Machine VOL 1. and no new print copies are indicated by anything on Amazon or any other book sellers. I even called Wade Cook's company (new company-www.wadecook.org) spoke with one of his staff and the nice young lady I spoke with indicated that there are no new copies of this book now or in the immediate future planned.
As far as aliases on Amazon are concerned, what's your point Gary Walls? Besides, last April a computer glitch revealed the true identities of the reviewers. Want to take a guess how many were Gary Walls on this and other books by Wade? And the funny part was that some were five star reviews! Here is a guy that wants it both ways. Sort of like John Kerry. Another flip flopper.
Enough of that. This book was the flagship for Wade Cook and for the cash flow stock market as whole. Prior to Wade, nobody was teaching these techniques and there is still nobody that does it any better. Often imitated but never duplicated.
I started using Wade's methods some time ago and it turbo-charged my portfolio. Since the Clinton Bear Market that started back in 2000, my overall portfolio had been seeing red. Following Wade's advice, I have been able to turn dead investments into monthly cash flow.
I highly recommend Wall Street Money Machine, but buy the updated version Vol 1. I would also recommend Wall Street Money Machine Vol 4 which teaches how to do spreads. Rolling stocks, covered calls and spreads are great cash flow generators. Wade also teaches a technique on how to fix a "sick stock."
Regarding MR Walls and his hundreds of aliases, just disregard this guy. I have it on good word that the only reason that he has softened his attack on Wade is because he is now focusing on a certain Japanese-American Rich Guy who has written a series of best selling books and also conducts seminars. Walls, or whatever his real name is never quits, you would think that if he was successful, he would be focusing his efforts on something constructive, not destructive. Apparently like the tabloid promoters he is delighted to attack anything that is positive or useful. Take a look at the cheap shots taken at Suze Orman, Stephen Covey, Rick Warren and more in addition to Wade Cook. This guy (Walls) is like bad money, the best thing is to avoid him.
Recommend Wall Street Money Machine VOL 1 & 4 and Wades newest book Wade Cook's Stock Picking Handbook.
Not an employee of Wade's just a very happy student of his advice. Nor do I have any business in conflict with Wade or a website attacking successful people like Wade or books like A Purpose Driven Life, The Bible, Wall Street Money Machine, 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, Rich Dad Poor Dad and so on.
In fact, I highly recommend all of the above mentioned books and I am sure Wade would as well.
Thank you Wade! Walls, get a life already!
Rating: Summary: What a bunch of crap indeed! Review: I mean, how many times can you slap the same negative review with another fictious name? This 1 star reviewer (Gary Walls no doubt) just won't give up. He must keep that that same stupid review on a disk and just inserts a new alias to make it look credible.
You have to wonder why he would continue to bash this book since it is nearly out of circulation. It has been replaced by Wall Street Money Machine Vol. 1. I guess it bothers him that this fabulous book by Wade is still in the top 4,000 and he hopes to take it down with his incessant and boring 1 star reviews.
But get this: he claims that his reviews are articulate. Articulate? You mean with headings like "You do the maths." or "Buy a lotto ticket instead." or "Follow Wade and you loose all of your money." Beware of people who can't spell the word "LOSE" or correctly write how to do the math.
The same guy complains about all of the reviews and when they post. Obviously he isn't aware of the release date dates of the books, special promotions on certain books or Mr. Cooks speaking schedule. (This is a clue that he is not really a reader, only a basher) The last item I know this 1 star basher is totally unaware because he still insists that Mr. Cook is retired or out or business. Not so. But don't take my word for it, go to www.wadecook.org to see what Wade Cook is up to, the facts about him and find out when he will be in your area.
He also claims that our posts are "RIDICULOUS 1 LINERS" or that "They are all paid shills." ENT! Most reviews offer results from actual trades or a individuals feelings about Wade. I can't speak for the others who have posted in favor of Wade, but I know that I am not a "paid shill", am not "a employee of Wade Cook" and my post is more than "a ridiculous 1 liner." In fact, my review is much more than a 1 liner and I hope other reviewers will see it as not being rediculous.
There is a saying that a mind and a parachute are alike in that they only work when they are open. Obviously this guy is trying to jump out of a plane in a parchute without a ripcord~ I have nothing to gain if you read or buy Wade Cooks materials. It won't impact my net worth at all, but I would be more than just a little bit concerned about this sole 1 star basher who is obviously knows nothing about investing or trading or building a business and I would be asking what his agenda really is. I hate to see a guy like WADE who is trying to empower people recieve negative, unfair b.s. and come under attack from a 1 star reviewer who has a hidden agenda. I guess I am old fashioned that way.
I recommend anything that Wade Cook writes. The first book should be Wall Street Money Machine Vol 1. You should also read Wade's newest book, Wade Cook's Stock Picking Handbook and as a prediction, expect this 1 star reviewer to start posting 1 star reviews ad infinitum on that book as well.
Wade Cook's techniques work only if you use them. They do not work for people who sit on the internet 24/7 and never try a trade.
In fact I am considering signing up for Wade's 3 day seminar in North Carolina in September. The information works. I have read Wall Street Money Machine V 1-6 and am now reading Wade Cook's Stock Picking Handbook. I am almost tempted to post my results following WADE's advice, but God forbid, that 1 star reviewer would probably lose sleep for about a week!
Rating: Summary: What a load of bollocks Review: Wade's own company tanks in the market, he's gone bankrupt multiple times, he's under indictment, and yet the praise continues. Meanwhile, one-line five-star reviews are unanimously considered helpful by 60 people while lengthy, articulate negative reviews are unanimously consided unhelpful by 60 people. Seems Cook's supporters are about as honest as Cook himself. Who do you ballot-stuffing jerks think you're fooling?
Furthermore, it seems the genius reviewer above me a) didn't notice the real name badge -- verified by credit card -- when he accused me of using a fictitious name, and b) didn't actually read what I said. I never said Cook's defenders here were paid shills or employees. I never said *all* of the negative reviews were lengthy or articulate. I never said *all* of the positive reviews were one-liners. Do you have a reading comprehension problem, Mr. Rogers? Do you honestly believe there's only one Amazon reader on Earth who thinks Wade is a swindling twerp? Honestly, I have better things to do with my time than post more than one review of this piece of trash.
I made an observation that patently vacuous but glowing reviews are unanimously considered helpful while informative but not-so-glowing reviews are unanimously considered unhelpful. That's all. The Cook Personality Cult attack dogs are clearly on the prowl on this page, and in their rush to pounce on any slight against their hero, they can't bother to read what's actually said. Too bad too, because it calls into question the validity of Amazon's ratings system.
Rating: Summary: Still working for me 7 years later Review: I bought this book back in 1998 right after the Clinton Bear Market in July of that year. I also bought Stock Market Miracles. What I found amazing was that I could make money even during a down market. Used the "bear market" to find deals. Most of Wade's strategies are "bear market" in nature anyway. Great book. Helped me tremendously.
