Summary: Fuhrman strikes back
Review: In a single moment of poor judgment a innocent cop unwittingly provides ammunition for a a race-obsessed defense team to destroy his reputation and allow a double-murderer to walk free. In "Murder in Brentwood," Detective Mark Fuhrman documents his downward spiral from star prosecution witness to his unjustified public vilification as racist white cop. Candidly told with impeccable attention to detail, this account is unlike others in the deluge of books on the Simpson case, emphasizing the cold facts. Fuhrman calmly and methodically reveals the blunders of the star-struck prosecution and incompetent police criminology, while exposing the twisted justice of a morally bankrupt defense team who who ruined the life of a good cop so a guilty man could walk free. Mark Fuhrman may have been stripped of his badge, but never his dignity

Summary: The single most fascinating & important book on the OJ case.
Review: Mark Fuhrman finally lets us know what happened. Despite the scapegoating of this detective, or perhaps because of it, his words ring particularly true. Here was a good cop, whose fatal mistake was answering the phone and doing his job. The trial of OJ became the trial of Mark Fuhrman. Now who is the convicted felon? This book is a must read ... even if you have no interest in the OJ case ... it is a commentary on cops and the system that should not be missed

Summary: TOO LITTLE-TOO LATE
Review: Racist or no racist it never really mattered. Hindsight is 20/20 and rarely has that concept been more telling than in this case and this book. Making absolutely certain the lead detectives were aware of all the evidence Fuhrman observed was very important in June 1992, and of little value now. Explaining and correcting his mistaken testimony was essential during the criminal trial, and doesn't much matter now. The real tragedy is that race should have had no part in this case, Fuhrman was probably the best investigator at the scene, and O.J. Simpson got away with a double-murder because of a racist defense not a racist police investigation/prosecution. This is a good book, but is too little, too late.

Summary: Insightful, honest, and surprising--Can't put this one down!
Review: Mark Fuhrman gives us an honest look at the Brentwood murders. It is not a feel sorry for me because of what happened, kind of book. It is about the straight truth of what this man did and saw, to pinpoint the two victims killer. My utmost respect to Mr. Fuhrman for his no-nonsense approach to those few fateful days that saw two people murdered, and one man betrayed. Bravo!

Summary: Good Cop!
Review: I believe after watching the trial and following the news that Fuhrman was a red herring in the OJ saga. Politics being what they are, devoured this good cop. I understand the role he was depicting in the tapes, as we often see it played out on entertainment TV. Unfortunately, a person he trusted got "taken" by OJ's attorneys. I don't believe he is a racist at all. Great reading and interesting perspective on the system we are so naive about

Summary: Slam dunk evidence for those willing to see it
Review: If you are open to seeing the truth, here it is, solid irrefutable evidence that OJ the murderer walked away. An interesting read for sure.

Summary: More about Fuhrman than OJ
Review: There's lots of valuable information here for OJ case buffs, including some things that didn't come out at the trial but should have (such as the empty knife box). However, the book (as well as Fuhrman's other true-crime books) isn't structured well; if you've been spoiled by the quasi-novelistic narratives of Ann Rule, Fuhrman's clunkier writing may disappoint you.

Fuhrman also devotes too much prose to self-serving justifications of his use of the "N-word" and flirtations with Naziism. At times the book seems to be more about Fuhrman and his sullied reputation than about OJ. I can understand him wanting to rehabilitate his image, but that should have been saved for an autobiography.

Summary: A Brilliant Detective and Magnificent Author
Review: Mark Fuhrman has truly displayed with perfection, his methods in desecting a crime scene. I throughly enjoyed "Murder In Brentwood, "Murder In Greenwich" and "Murder In Seattle". I know that he will be sorely missed in the Police Department however, maybe they need to miss him. They did not appreciate him when he was there so Mr. Fuhrman the best of luck. You are truly appreciated now. Without you I really do not believe that we would have ever known the truth about O. J.'s movement or Michael Skakel. Thank you for your much appreciated books.
