Summary: Cathartic!
Review: Writing can be good therapy! Mark's book was a bestseller because so many people could secretly identify with his trials and agony.

Summary: Just the facts please
Review: Having read Evidence Dismissed, I picked up the paperback copy of this book to get a different perspective on the procedures that were followed ( or not) during the investigation of the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. I was pleasently suprised by the candor and the honesty of the author, as he told "his side of the story". I, like others, felt that this man was the evil incarnate, but after reading this book I think that evil resides in the ego's of all that were involved in this case. Furhman admits and even chastises himself for some of his faults, but points out supporting information that the media, the procescuters, and the defense team failed to provide, that indeeds shows that this man, like all of us, is not perfect yet is not the beast that he was made out to be. As the old saying goes, Just the facts ma'am, and in this case the facts still add up to a damning case against OJ Simpson. The facts are clearly laid out, the mistakes noted, and still in the end, you come up with the same conclusion, if not OJ, then who? I am glad I added this material to my knowledge of the case, it provides additional insight into the crime. Would I like to share a drink with Mark Furhman, before this book no, after, I would say yes.

Summary: The side you didn't hear (from the man you THOUGHT you knew)
Review: Who is Mark Fuhrman? EVERYBODY knows THAT! Do they really? Inthe media's rush to judgement of Mark Fuhrman, they forgot about adetective with a long distinguished career and about the damning evidence that he found. This book takes the reader inside the mind of an experienced detective doing what he does best: solving crime. Unfortunately, he did it to the wrong suspect, and in the ensuing debacle, was run through the mud for a few careless comments he made years ago while collaborating on a screenplay. After reading this book, I began thinking that the wrong man was set free for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and the wrong man now has a criminal record to follow him for the rest of his life, and is now the third victim of the "crime of the century". END

Summary: Chilling!
Review: Like many people who followed the trial, I watched in morbid curiosity while the media and the court set out to influence public opinion about O.J and the "Trial of the Century". I never appreciated Mark Fuhrman's position or knowledge of the case until I read this book. To be honest, I expected it to be an attempt to apologize to the country for contributing to this apparent miscarriage of justice. Instead, what I found was a facinating, professional account of the facts of the case. I have also gone on to read his book, Murder in Greenwich, and one thing is certain. Mr. Fuhrman is the man I'd want on the case.

Summary: Very good reading.
Review: This was my first book on this case.Im so glad I started with Mark Fuhrmans book. I believe I began with the most honest one.My girlfriend and I got our books at the library. We would each read, and then talk .We are both in shock that two people lost their young lives. All of the evidence from the begining was not used. One day the children will ask, if not read for themselves that their mother was slain by not a stranger but the glory seeking ,non acting OJ.Everytime I hear that this man (Mr.Fuhrman )was a racist it makes me think that they were and did slander a mans good name.I feel that he did the best job any man could do.Im sure Mark Fuhrman can sleep better at night ,then the once great football hero.Too bad OJ never knew what it was like holding down a real job.

Summary: MARK FUHRMAN IS A BRILLIANT DETECTIVE
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who really wants to learn the truth of what happened that night in Brentwood. Detective Fuhrman leads you step by step through the crime scene and goes over all the evidence including those that were never mentioned during the Simpson trial. It seems unbelievable that his superiors could have been so careless in not even reading the young detective's notes. If they had, they would have seen the bloody print left on the gate and Simpson would be paying for his crime instead of playing golf The prosecution was so weak that they almost apologized because they were trying a man who once played football. I believed Detective Fuhrman when he was on the stand and this book only reinforced my belief in his integrity and honesty. That he used the "N" word should have never been brought up during the trial in the first place. Simpson's lawyers tried to turn it into the Mark Fuhrman trial which resulted in a killer being freed. I would be honored to know Mr. Fuhrman and think he is a superb writer. I have also read MURDER IN GREENWICH and will definitely buy the next book that he writes. The LAPD lost a valuable man, but the world now has another great writer.

Summary: If you could only read one book, this should be the one
Review: I cannot recommend this book enough. After reading it I had no doubts about the incompetence of the (other) investigating officers and prosecutors Marcia Clark and CHristopher Darden. This book tells you the evidence that was not pursued - like O.J. Simpson running a red light that night and almost having a collision - that could have nailed "the real killer". It seems that Mr. Furhman is still using his abilities to solve murders. I hope that he does so, and there are many victims out there who have not had justice yet that Mr. Furhman could help.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Where's The Justice!
Review: From the beginning of the trial, I believed Mark Fuhrman. His investigation was flawless. He was an extremely meticulous police officer, his record speaks for itself. The thing that really puzzled me and him for that matter, why wasn't his partner Brad Roberts ever called to testify? It all seems like a police coverup. I would like to contact Mark, personally and tell him he was believed by many people. I will read all his books in the future.

Summary: Great "Insider's" View of the Crime Scene
Review: I have read four books on the OJ crime and trial and this one is the best in terms of looking closely at the evidence. You feel as though you are walking with Det. Furman as he investigates the Bundy crime scene. It was so refreshing to hear his side of the "N-word" controversy/perjury conflict. His analysis of the trial and explanations of his racial slurs are weak points in the book. His perspective of the trial is not as broad as others (For a broad, exhaustive perspective, I recommend Jeffrey Toobin's book "The Run of His Life" and "5 Reasons O.J. Simpson Got Away With Murder." by Vincent Bugliosi) Also, I do not fully believe that he is not a racist. I felt his self-defense was unconvincing. Yet, his recollection of the facts of the case are irrefutable and compelling.
