Summary: Compellingly embarrassing in its biting bitchy prose
Review: For those of you who watch Judge Judy, this book will come as no surprise. It portrays a self-absorbed, mean spirited, insulting harridan who explains her behavior by citing the positive virtues of self-confidence and self-esteem. I suspect that Judge Judy gets away with her spoiled brat behavior because she frightens the majority of people who have been taught to be civil and courteous.There are an important underlying message in this book,namely, the need to be an independent, strong human being. However, Judge Judy is not the role model that I want my daughters to emulate.

Summary: Good reinforcement!
Review: I listened to Judge Judy's book on audio cassette while walking. I picked it up because my spirits were low and I needed a boost. I don't think this book will change your life but it's entertaining and it helps reinforce some good points that we, as women, need to be reminded of. She helps you accept the inequalities in the work place and gives you tips on how to make the best of it.

Review: I bought this book for my daughter, but I read it first. What a great, positive attitude she gives you! It is very entertaining with a lot of meaning. But not at all "preachy". Not only did I read it, but BOTH daughters loved it!

She is a great role model. She uses her real life experiences to tell how you can learn from your mistakes. It's humorous as well as educational.

Review: This book should be required reading for every female ages 18-80. It was so refreshing to know there is an intelligent female who still believes in the Power of the Woman. The author's comments on every phase of life are so refreshing and should be adopted by all.

Review: Judge Judy says many things that more people (both men and women) should listen to for their own sakes. After a bad break up, this book helped me realize my own potential and gain the strength needed to face the world on my own. She made many valuable statements that have begun to turn my life around. Every woman should read this book. Very fast and fun, too!

Review: I LOVE me some Judge Judy...she tells like it like it is and takes NO shorts!!! She really nails it on the head about those dizzy "women" and how they dig their own holes. I learned a lot about love and life from her, and came away from the book inspired and educated. We have the same life philosophy, so I found nothing in here too shrill or offensive...I just wish it was longer!!! Rock on witcha' bad self Judge, and if you want a new path to independence, this book will be a great start!!! LOVED IT!!!

Summary: This one goes on my gift list for family & frineds!
Review: My husband and I enjoy meeting at lunchtime and watching Judge Judy together so we were naturally curious about her book when we saw her on Larry King Live this week. Bought the book and loved it! We've been married 28 years and laughed together over toilet paper and toilet lids! Been there done that! But mostly we talked about how great this book would be for the young single mothers in our family as well as those who are growing in their marriages, child-rearing, and dealing with life in the REAL world. Some illustrations (only one really) was a little graphic, but we love Judge Judy's honesty and tell-it-like-it-really-is style. Thanks for a great read Judy. We'll be sure to pass it on!

Summary: Stop milking it.
Review: Judge Judy has made the fatal mistake of becoming a guru. She has condemmed herself to the same fate as Morton Downey Jr., Wally George, and all the other White Trash explotation personalities by assuming she is something more than a diversion. Enjoy the ride down.
