Rating: Summary: It's great! Review: What can I say? I started to read her books and she is great! I loved this one a lot!
Rating: Summary: Forced Plot Review: Lacey Farrell, a young (30ish) woman is witness to a murder(er). She works for a real estate firm showing high priced condo's, etc. One woman calls to put her dead daughter's condo up for sale but she is having a hard time of it since she really doesn't believe her daughter's death was an accident...Come on Mary! Don't insult us readers! Might be good if you didn't ask your readers to buy into everything making it so forced... And the ending -- how Lacey figured everything out was just as forced. And the romance in the book -- Lacey finds a guy she is interested in while in the witness protection program but decides that after one date she just can't lie (or at least not be open about her past) but yet he decides to still pursue her and pursue her (after only 1 date) --reads more like stalking than romance!
Rating: Summary: Interesting suspense! Review: I kept wanting to read more pages; it was hard to set it aside. I was surprised to find out who was behind it all. Overall - it's worth the price!
Rating: Summary: Another great page turner!!! Review: This was a another great book by Mary Higgins Clark. A neat page turner. I had it read in one day. I couldn't put it down.
Rating: Summary: Great suspense! Review: Mary Higgins Clark has done it again! If I didn't have a small child, I'd have read it in one sitting. The story was full of suspense and I thought I had it figured out, but I fingered the wrong suspect! A little unbelievable in a couple places, but after all, it is fiction! All in all, one of the best books I've read in a long while. Don't start reading it unless you have some time.
Rating: Summary: MEDIOCRE BOOK FROM A TALENTLESS WRITER Review: I have heard all of the hype about MHC and how ingenious she is. I picked up this book as a change from my usual mystery repertoire, expecting that at least some of the hype would play out. What I found instead was the usual mystery formula the talentless writers of today use accompanied by static, under-developed characters. I was frequently bored with the cliche-ridden dialogue and frankly, the characters disgusted me. This reminded me of when I saw Titanic--finding such mediocre talent under a bed of rancid hype. In short, I wonder just why people flock to MHC. She's the mystery-writer equivalent to Danielle Steele, as both are hooked on their cheap formulas and shallow plots. The fact that MHC remains a best-selling author is merely a comment on mainstream American society. It is a pity that there are so many millions of people with a below-average IQ. I am, however, excluding MHC from that catagory. She was obviously intelligent enough to realize that with little effort she could make millions on catering to the less-than adequate masses. Rating: Summary: The best MHC book I've read Review: I thought it was more suspenseful than any other Mary Higgins Clark book. The main character was easy to like and reacted realistically in situations.
Rating: Summary: The Plot Didn't Go Anywhere Review: I am 13 and I have read many of MHC books. There hasn't been one I haven't liked. This book in my opinion was just a wild goose chase that lead nowhere until the very last 10 pages. When she was in Minnesota nothing happened there...Her worst book so far-get it from the library, don't buy it
Rating: Summary: Great who-dunit Review: I am hooked on MHC, and this one is one of her best. This one is about the witness protection program and its drawbacks. Good likeable characters and the plot an outstanding one. I recommend this one to you, but don't be surprised if you are hooked on her books.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I am a Mary Higgins Clark fan and she did not disappoint with this edge of your seat suspensfull book.
