Summary: WOOOW
Review: Ok, so I found this book very suspenseful. It was the first suspense book I ever read, and I liked the feeling. I literally was on the edge of my seat! See, it was a great book, but the only bad thing is that the heroine, Lacey Farrell, was too stupid. I would have been much, much, smarter, and I'm way younger than her! I mean, yes, she was just pretty messed up in the head. Other than that, the book was good. So, if you like the witness protection program, stupid heroines, suspenseful books, murders and crime scenes, and DIARIES!!, then you should read this book. It was my first Mary Higgins Clark book, and I'll try to read the other books from her. She's really quite famous.

Summary: Pretend you dont see her by Marry Higgens Clark
Review: Pretend you dont see her by Marry Higgens Clark is about a girl named Lacy Farrell, a Manhattan real estate agent. Lacey befriends an elderly woman, Isabelle Warning, while selling Isabelle's daughter's house, Heather. Heather was killed in a supposed car accident, but Isabelle is determined that it was not. While Lacey is showing the house to a potential buyer, she is a witness to Isabelle's murder. Isabelle had Heather's journal in her hand, signaling that Heather's killer was exposed in it. Lacey copies the journal for Heather's father, as Isabelle instructed, but also made a copy for herself, for she is determined to find out who the killer was. The only problem is Lacey is the only person who can identify Isabelle's killer. Because of the potental of great danger, Lacey is put into the witness protection program. She is sent to Minneapolis, under the name of Alice. While she is there, she meets a radio broadcaster, Tom Lynch. They start to date, but then Lacey breaks it off because she has realized the killer has followed her to Minneapolis. She didn't want to expose him to danger. With the help of the journal, Lacey unravels the mystery of who killed Isabelle and Heather.
Pretend you dnt see her is one of those books that the suspense gets to you. It's like waching a horror movie, you can't stop until the very end. The thing I like most about this book was it was based in Minnesota. It had many places that I had been to, like the International Airport, and Wayzata. I also can really relate to Lacey Farrell. She can't stand being away from her friends and family, and I dont think I could either. She is very courageous after she finds out that the killer has traced her back to Minnesota, and I hope that I can sometimes find the courage that she found within herself. I like Mary HIggens Clark's writing style because it is entertaining, but not confusing. She introduces all of the characters in the book thoroughly, which makes you wonder which one really is the killer. I would definitely recommend this book to everybody who has time to read, because once you start, you won't want to put it down for a second.

Summary: Captivating...Clark is GREAT!
Review: Plot Summary: The book starts off with Lacey Farrell, a famous New York real estate agent, gets a call from Isabelle Waring. Ms. Waring asks if Lacey can help sell her dead daughter's apartment. Heather, her daughter, was killed in a car accident in Vermont who was killed the year before. Isabelle wants to get rid of the apartment so she can move on with her life. Isabelle told Lacey that she had found Heather's journal that went back to when she was living up until the last few days of her life. Isabelle thought that there was something in that journal that proved Heather's death was not an accident. A few days after, Lacey goes to show the apartment to a client with the name 'Curtis Caldwell' with Isabelle. When they arrive, Isabelle is lying on her bed reading the journal and seems emotionally and physically disturbed. Lacey starts showing the apartment to the client when all of a sudden he takes out a gun and shoots Isabelle. He runs out but was unsuccessful in retrieving the journal. Now that Isabelle is dying, she hands Lacey the journal and tells her to give it to Jimmy, Heather's father. Lacey quickly took the bloody journal from the crime scene and made a copy for her and Jimmy Landi. She was taken to the police office to tell them what she saw. Lacey handed over the original copy of the journal but didn't tell them she had made a copy for herself. Because of the conditions, and for her safety, she was sent to the Witness Protection Program. Alice Carroll was her new name, and she was sent to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Quickly turn the pages of this wonderful thriller and find out what will become of all the characters. GREAT!

Summary: One Of Her Best Books!
Review: I liked Pretend You Don't See Her And think it's one of MHC's best, very suspenseful and one that I would keep, It's about a woman named Lacy Farrell who witness a murder and is placed in the witness protection program but gets really sad and mad that her whole life is changed and she can't even see her family so decides to investigate the murder herself.

If you liked this book watch out for reruns of the movie on a TV station called Pax, the movie isn't as good as the book because of some changes but it's pretty good and stars Emma Samms as Lacey Farrell.

Summary: My Least Favorite Mary Higgins Clark Book.
Review: Usually I enjoy Mary Higgins Clark's stories. They are not great literature but at least they keep you in suspense. This one was so lacking in intelligence and so full of "amazing coincidences" that I could hardly finish it. The main character is presented as sophisticated, yet she is about the stupidest woman I can imagine. Everything she does is so foolish! I almost think someone else besides MHC wrote this book!

Summary: Pretend You Don't See Her
Review: I would recommend this book to people who are interested in mysteries and/ or murders. This book was the best because I think Mary Higgins Clark is a great writer. She leads you from one thing to the next. I am not really into mysteries but I thought I would try it out. It worked out because this book is one that once you start reading you can't put it down. This book is very suspenseful. I rally enjoy reading so it is nearly impossible to put down. Again I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in mysteries and/ or murders.

Summary: Not so good -- stupid behavior
Review: The main character is presented as someone who isreally smart: figures out complex relationships in the sparse evidence, good memory, ... If she didn't, there would be no plot.

She makes every stupid move you can imagine, thus avoiding catching the bad guy throughout the book.

I couldn't finish this book.

Summary: A thrilling and exciting page Turner.
Review: I think this is one of her best books. She held my attention from beginning to end. I think she has a very interesting inmagination. I like the way she takes her readers to the scenes of what is happening as they are reading. I also like that she makes women in her books very strong and independent individuals. I beleive that she give a great number of people that read her books some kind of incouragement no matter how little. This book was really great. I really enjoyed it.

Summary: Great book
Review: This was the first Mary Higgins Clark book I have read. I loved it. I read it in less than 1 week. Taking place in New York and Minnesota, a young woman, Lacey Farrell, is witness to a murder. For her own safety she is sent to the Witness Protection Program in Minneapolis. This is an excellent book and I think everyone should read it. It has suspense until the last few pages.

Summary: A Surprisngly Good Book
Review: I first read this book when I was in 8th grade. We had to choose a book to read for our Mystery and Suspense Unit. I remember that I read about a chapter of it over and over for a few weeks because I just couldn't get into, but once I did I couldn't put it down. While I love reading and will read almost any genre, I have always despised mystery books. This book though gave me an entirely different outlook on the genre. I was amazed with Mary Higgins Clark's skill at story-telling, and how she was able to weave together such a complicated plot so effortlessly. I really don't think I have ever read as suspenseful a book, and I remember my heart was racing when I neared the end of the book. This book definitely changed my opinion of mysterys, but I have yet to read more then two others: Clark's "All Around the Town", equally fantastic, and Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None", of which I remember nothing except I loved it

Basically, read this book. If you love mysteries you'll love this. If you don't love mysteries you'll still love it.
