Summary: Entertaining
Review: I really enjoyed the story. I read it quickly and never got bored.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Never put it down.
Review: I read the book in one day - thought it was fantastic, then my motherinlaw took it and did the same. You can't wait to see what happens next. I wouldn't recommend starting it until you have 1/2 day to sit by yourself.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good, but not one of her best
Review: I love Mary Higgins Clark and can't wait until they come out in paperback because you can never get them in the library. I was disappointed in this one though. Not enough suspense and a phone call to "Tom" in Minneapolis - come on!! My first thought after finishing the book was - too interested in her new marriage.

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: This was a great book, one of my favorites. I never got bored with it, I kept wanting to read more. I was surprised with the murderer, it wasn't who I wanted it to be! I definitely think you should read this book!

Summary: Either pretend you don't see her, or still watching....
Review: For almost twenty years, this writer has used fomulated receipe to write simplified so-called thriller for simple-minded fragile readers to get goose bumps for no obvious reasons; if you feel like nail biting, contact your family doctor and elementary school teacher. All her books are almost the same; either still watching after twenty year since falling out of the cradle, or gradually turned into a typically formatted across-street scenario; somebody's still watching, but you could be pretending not seeing yet. Same formula like S.Grafton's books, when A to Z are used up, what's next? This one, as usual, a quick flip-through and bore-to-death read (sigh...)

Summary: excellent
Review: As always she captures you from the start. If you have never read one of her books this is a great one to start with.

Summary: Works as Suspense, but fails as literature
Review: Pretend You Don't See Her kept me awake all night! It really grabs your attention. However, its literary quality is very poor. Even though the narrator is omniscient and shows the reader some aspects of characters' personalities, all characters - including the main character, are flat. She doesn't undergo any change, except for her Witness Prtection program. The author used pace, by switching back and forth from one character/scene to another, to increase suspense. This works great, especially if you think of a fast-paced film. But this same pace added to the flatness of the characters. I agree with some readers who said this book would make a great movie, and it is definitely fun to read. Unfortunately, it is exactly what you can expect from a bestseller.

Summary: Suspenseful, clean and wholesome -- thanks MHC.
Review: Another winner by my favorite suspense author. I've read all of Ms. Clark's books. I anxiously await the release of a new one and always buy them in hardback -- can't wait for paperback! When I finish, I pass them on to my 14 year old granddaughter who loves them as much as I. Especially great is that I don't have to worry about Ms. Clark's books being unfit for my granddaughter to read. They are very pristine when compared to today's standard fare! The way I calculate it, there should be another one released soon. I can hardly wait.

Summary: IF SOME THINGS WOULD'VE MADE SENSE...
Review: THIS BOOK WAS REALLY GOOD!!! I REALLY LOVED IT BUT THERE WAS ONLY ONE PROBLEM, SOME OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED JUST DIDN'T MAKE SENSE. LIKE WHEN THE HUNTMAN APPEARED AT THE HOUSE IN LONG ISLAND WHERE LACEY WAS GOING, SHE SHOULD'VE AT LEAST SHOWN JUST HOW SLICK HE WAS. SOMETIMES HE WOULD JUST SEEM TO APPEAR IN CERTAIN PLACES WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION. IT WAS STILL A GREAT STORY AND IT DEFENITELY HAD ME IN HUGE SUSPENSE EVEN THOUGH I'M LAZY WITH READING FICTION BOOKS. THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT MOVIE (IF IT'S DONE BY THE RIGHT PEOPLE):)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great book, as expected
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Mary Higgins Clark has the ability to capture you into the minds of the characters in her novels. You know what the villian is thinking at all times. Her books are not easily read on audiocassette because the smallest details are not to be forgotten, I often need to flip back to earlier portions of the book to find the relationship between characters or events. This book is one of those books. In order to find out the relationship between characters introduced later in the book I needed to flip to the first couple of chapters. For those interested in a book to read on a cold winter night, pick this one!
