Rating: Summary: One of my favorite books!!!!!!!!!!! Review: This was a wonderful book by MHC. I had to stop reading it when I was alone in my house. It kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. Darcy and Erin have been best friends since college and now they both live in NY. The two of them start answering personal ads as a favor to a friend. Erin and Darcy have fun comparing who they meet until the day Erin mysteriously disappears. Her body is found on an abandoned pier. She is oddly wearing a dancing slipper on her foot. Though the police disagree, Darcy knows Erin was murdered by the person Erin answered the personal ad to. Darcy is determined to find Erin's killer. Little does she know, Darcy is the next victim!

Rating: Summary: I'm being generous with the two stars Review: This book was awful - I knew who the killer was by the time Igot through a quarter of the book. It was choppy writing and elementary at best. Icouldn't concentrate on it because it was so boring and found myself wondering how many more pages were left until the torture would end. Too bad someone didn't kill this BOOK off. Ew yuck, don't bother. And I'm actually a fan of MHC. END

Rating: Summary: The book that may be read by the whole family Review: When I first begun reading detective/suspense novels, I didn't like Mary Higgins Clark's books so much. Much to the contrary, I used to hate them, because in my opinion, Joy Fielding is much better than MHC. And I still think that way. Yes, to me, Joy Fielding IS a lot better than Mary Higgins Clark. But now I discovered that Mary is not so terrible as I used to think. I have bought some of her books and started to read LOVES MUSIC, LOVES TO DANCE some days ago. At first I perceived the huge influence that Agatha Christie has made on MHC's writing. Very similar, though MHC writes in a more contemporary style. This book is interesting, and the main characters are these kind of people you'd love to have as friends of yours. One of the things I don't like on MHC's books is that she fills the book with lots of characters, and some readers sometimes may lose track of the reading. It's not because the plot is intricated, but it has, in general, too many unnecessary characters, a problem that Joy Fielding's books doesn't have. The books by MHC are not unputdownnable, while the ones by Joy Fielding are. But Mrs. Clark is still a good reading, a worthwhile author. If you like the genre, you won't be dissapointed at all. It's the kind of book that can be read by adults as well as by teens.Marco Aurelio
Rating: Summary: This is the best one yet! Review: Erin and Darcy, two very good friends, agree to answer personal ads in New York, but soon the fun turns to terror. Soon, Erin is found lifeless on an abandoned pier with a beautiful dancing slipper on one foot. Not knowing that Erin is not the first victim Darcy sets out to find the killer herself. Now she is the next one the killer has his eyes on. Even though I love all of Mary Higgins Clark books I have read, this one has to be the best yet! It keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end! I would recommend it for 6th graders- adult. I would definitely give it 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: Personal ads can alter to more than a date, turning deadly. Review: Darcy Scott, a hard-working New York decorator, is pulled into profound suspense and secrecy at the death of her good friend. Erin Kelley holds a job of jewelry design and decides to help out a friend by answering personal ads. When she is mysteriously found dead, her best friend, Darcy Scott, decides to find out just who killed her dear friend. Darcy just doesn't realize how risky it can get and cascades into a trap of death. I would recommend this book to ages twelve through sixteen. Part of liking the book was that I liked the setting and the characteristics of the main character, Darcy Scott. I give this book five stars because I was really interested in the topic and loved the creativity of the author.
Rating: Summary: Loves Music, Loves to Dance Review: I loved this book. All of the Mary Higgins-Clark books are great. Loves Music, Loves to Dance gives you some clues, then lets your mind run wild with all of the possibilities of who the killer is. Then again, she does that with all of her books. If you are wondering whether or not you should read this book, I've read a number of books by many different authors, and let me tell you, this is one of the best I've EVER read! Enjoy!
